Source to Pay (S2P) Manager

Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Financial Controlling Teams coordinate, administer, and control financial operations. They review, analyze, and interpret financial and budgetary reports, direct all aspects of accounting operations and the preparation of annual financial forecasts. They also oversee the development of financial accounting systems required to maintain reporting requirements.

Manager, S2P Process

The Manager of the S2P Process leads the Americas S2P team in the planning, management, and delivery of in scope processes including invoice processing, payment processing, vendor management, travel and expenses and other AP activities.  As a leader within both the Americas Financial Solutions Center (FSC) and Global Shared Services organization, the Manager will operate in a matrix organization with guidance provided by both the Americas FSC Site Director and S2P Global Process Owner.  The Manager will support global S2P initiatives including process standardization, technology initiatives, and process improvements. This position will be responsible for the Strategy, Execution, and Talent for the S2P operation.  

Additional responsibilities include:

• Provide direction to the S2P team leads and team members
• Ensure quality and efficiency of work performed
• Ensure proper processing of vendor payments and compliance with tax and other statutory requirements of the local markets
• Coordinate with local Finance Controllers/Directors to identify and address any unresolved issues in a timely manner
• Develop and maintain scorecards and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to manage the performance of the department
• Identify and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the S2P function, ensuring that improvements are incorporated in the work routine. Form strong collaborative relationship with Global Process Owners.
• Development talent and guide careers for direct and indirect reports

Required Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelors degree in Finance OR Accounting (MBA preferred)
• 5-7 years of relevant experience managing the S2P function in a financial shared service center, supporting multiple countries / business units
• Proficiency in English (C1)
• Strong accounting background
• Deep understanding of end to end S2P processes and associated technology platforms 
• SAP and Microsoft Office knowledge
• Relevant Accounts Payable certification (preferred)

Knowledge and Soft Skills:

• Ability to work in culturally diverse teams with many levels of personnel
• Preferably Diversified Industrial Products/Manufacturing industry experience
• Well-developed management and leadership skills
• Excellent analytical skill and an ability to identify and resolve problems.
