TE Connectivity's Product Management Teams manage all aspects of a product, from driving new product development to manufacturing to marketing. They are responsible for overall product strategy, business leadership and capacity plans in order to meet sales and profit targets.

The Aerospace, Defense & Marine (A,D&M) business unit of TE Connectivity has an opportunity in Product Management - Hastings support in the Core Connectors team based in EMEA. As the Product Management Support you will be technically minded and be inquisitive, keen to learn, and to work closely supporting and directly alongside the sales, quality, customer service and plant team.

 

In the role you will be supporting the Backshell business, following the migration in September 2021 from Bath to Hastings. Your will be learning about the products (ideally you will have a working knowledge of backshells and the market. You will be a huge part of the continued improvement of service to the customer on key projects and supporting the changes.

Location: United Kingdom, Hastings/ Remote. Up to 50% travel
 

What you will be doing:

 

  • Data analytics, understanding results, collaborating and compiling information / tracking plans
  • Support Business Plan (including working with cross-functional teams) 
  • Execution: New Product Development launch, process improvements & improvement/escalations 
  • Execution: Portfolio Product Management including rationalization

You will be an expert, or keen to learn in these areas:

As part of your Goal and Objective you will meet the following KPI’s:

 

  • Sales / Market Share (protect and win) based on revenue and margin.
  • Support current and new product sales on time and within budget
     

Experience:

 

  • Product management (critical), project management, technical, or sales experience (5-10yrs)
  • Master/Bachelor degree in STEM area, with MBA preferred.
  • Relevant product or industry experience desired (connectors industry) including understanding the landscape of the surrounding product, TTM and where TE wins
  • Understand of the competitors, overview of the competitor offerings and ability to interface with operations, quality and sales teams to provide information and tools for significant recovery/growth
  • Business acumen and ability to create strong relationships in complex matrix environments, understanding critical path tasks, with a positive attitude and ability to manage complex indirect teams
  • Technical aptitude, ability to understand the complexity and learn the product quickly
  • Strong organizational skills, a strong sense of personal commitment to growth/business success
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, ability to simplify complex concepts
  • Result-oriented way of working, motivated and ready to progress into PM team
