Job Overview

The Account Manager (AM) is responsible to sell TE Connectivity products to assigned customers in assigned territory, he must have a broad knowledge of TE technology and product portfolio and the markets served. He will also support to define strategies to achieve sales goals and objectives established by Business Unit management. AM must comprehend the tools to do the job. AM must know his customers to develop business opportunities, as well as know TE organization to provide expeditious, effective answers to customer requirements; including but not limited to price quotations, RMA, credit memos, quality claims, PO changes and PO cancellations. AM must be able to communicate effective, direct and clearly.

Responsibilities

    Relationship Management and Demand Creation

  • Continuously caring for a good trusting relationship between the customer and TE
  • Stay in permanent direct contact (visits, email, phone) with the customer to ensure ongoing support and communication
  • Promote TE, the technologies and product portfolio to the customer
  • Select and introduce (new) products and services, considering the customers’ needs
  • Sell the value proposition of TE products and services
  • Detect new opportunities and drive the project to a success win
  • Coordinate with internal disciplines to serve the customer on time in terms of quotations, quality complaints, logistics, technical information, etc.
  • Engage and drive the TE organization to support and respond in the timeframe & quality level the customer expects (e.g. logistics, quality, etc.)
  • Conscientious follow up on open issues and opportunities

Strategic Account Planning:

  • Analyze the existing customer
  • Define and develop an account strategy/plan
  • Gain, correctly interpret and apply to all kind of research results (markets, competition, technologies, trends)

       Other Duties:

  • Prepare and discuss offers and quotations
  • Prepare and lead price and contract negotiations at customer
  • Follow up on open opportunities/projects
  • Follow up on financial matters such as cash flow payments, and credit concessions, account receivables
  • Internal reporting of projects and other business activities
  • Keep updated regarding products, technologies and market trends and environmental changes

    Key Goals & Objectives/Measurements:

Qualifications

  • Education: College/University degree.                                 
  • Knowledge: Business development; electronic, electrical, mechanical career preferable                                 
  • Experience: 5 years                        
  • Languages: Fluent English and Spanish                  
  • Software: Microsoft Office                                                  
  • Key behaviors: good presence, customer service oriented, team work attitude
  • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills and the ability to build strong, credible relationships with multiple organization functions (inside and outside of TE)
  • Strong project management skills
  • Strong selling, presentation and negotiation skills
