Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Materials Planning Teams are responsible for the plans, schedules, and monitoring of the movement of material through the production cycle. They determine quantity and order date for materials to meet production or engineering schedules, initiate purchase, or production requisitions compliant with supply agreements, and develop the schedule to be used in the production facility based on forecasts and MRP requirements. 

 

The Team is responsible for sharing forecasts and plans for labor requirements, with vendors and production. They provide timely and accurate input on supplier performance and may be asked to participate in supplier performance reviews with the strategic sourcing team. 

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
 

Scheduling

  • Direct contact with Customer Service to establish agreements and coordinate on time delivery.
  • Coordinate cross-functionally with other department leads. 
  • Shares Monthly forecast with suppliers 
  • Capacity Planning

Inventory 

  •  Manages plant manufacturing requirements according to inventory policy and plant capacities.
  •  Works closely with suppliers on daily expedites and escalations
  •  Forecast inventory reduction 


KPIs 

  • Attends and participates in meetings related to his/her functions-- makes presentations as required for his/her KPIs
  • Follows practices and tasks that ensure that forecasted metrics are achievement.
  • Track and monitor KPIs assigned to you.

    
General

  • Complies and contributes to the achievement of EHS indicators.
  • Creates solutions by using innovative problem solving. 
  • Excel Knowledge (Vlookup, SUMIFS, ETC)
  • Understanding CNC machines
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings. 
     

What your background should look like:

Required qualifications: 

  • Experience with Rugged fiber optics and active fiber optic products 
  • At least 3 years professional work experience in an engineering environment 
  • Communication skills demonstrated by the ability to communicate across all levels within and outside of the organization including customers 
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to details 
  • PC proficient, including Excel, Word, MS Project, Power Point, and MRP systems. 

 

Preferred background: 

  • 5+ years with Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and or work  experience in an engineering environment. 
  • Experience with design and test of ruggedized electronics in industrial, defense, and aerospace applications. 
  • Knowledge/experience with fiber optics connectivity and/or its use is a plus. 
  • Mechanical 3D CAD skills

COMPENSATION
•    Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $77,700k - 116,600k annually (subject to change dependent on physical location)
•    Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
•    Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
