Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Administrative Support Teams are responsible for office administration and daily clerical duties including basic schedule planning, travel arrangements, documentation, and file maintenance. Other responsibilities include scheduling conferences/meeting rooms and responding to general inquiries. They create and maintain office documentation and files and review drafts and finished internal/external communication documents.

 

As a member of the Network Management Systems (NMS) development group, the candidate will be part of a large software and firmware design and development team.   NMS in one form or another is provided to TE SubCom’s customers in each sale. These are complex systems requiring a variety of functions and e-interfaces. Many technologies are used to realize NMS as such a variety of skills are required across the team.   The candidate may report to multiple directors and will receive appropriate mentorship.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Responsibilties: - Assist the Network Management Systems team with documentation, specifications, designs, test plans, proposals, software design, development and testing - Assist with TEMS lab functionality including hardware upgrades and work on various network management tools that may include DCN management, Trouble Ticket support and security enhancements - Assist team with other projects as assigned  

 

Qualifications:   - Candidate shall be pursuing a degree in Computer Science and/or Electrical Engineering with a bent towards software and/or firmware - Candidate will work with team members to achieve documented goals. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills required - Proficient in C++, Java, Unix a plus as well as Microsoft office tools including Project
