Job Overview

In parternship with the Director of Human Resources, to set strategic direction for benefit and welfare programs, essential for talent acquisition, retention and optimal value/cost-containment balance. To execute the administration of all programs managing education, communication and automation. To develop and implement General HR policies with focus on compliance and engagement. Designs, evaluates, implements, communicates, and administers the company's employee benefits programs and initiatives. Fosters a high performing organization that attracts, motivates, retains, and rewards employees by ensuring alignment with company strategy, internal equity, external competitiveness, and legal compliance for benefits practices.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

  • In partnership with the Director of Human Resources, provide oversight on the plan management and administration of the 401k plan, employee welfare benefits, Compensation programs and other programs such as tuition reimbursement, service anniversaries, wellness programs, etc.
  • Designs, develops, and implements Benefits solutions that are aligned with SubCom’s strategy and competitive with the external market. Improves existing policies and localizes programs to meet business needs.
  • Ensures that Benefits in the region / countries are aligned with the business strategy and general market practices;
  • Takes the initiative to understand the business environment and the legal framework in which SubCom operates (lifecycles, strategies, external business conditions, etc.) in order to drive the effective implementation of compensation and benefits programs, projects, and policies.
  • Designs, develops, implements, supports, and administers benefits programs, processes, and projects, considering local legal and negotiation requirements, in order to ensure consistency and competitiveness of programs and to achieve the organization’s goal to attract, develop, and retain a high performing and engaged workforce.
  • Provides information and solutions to internal clients in order to ensure programs are accurately understood and implemented.
  • Coordinates benefits planning including administration of plans.
  • Ensures benefits policy compliance, ensures benefits implementation is in alignment with procedures and policies, drives policy enhancement in order to ensure legal and governance compliance.
  • Evaluates vendors based on selection criteria, recommends vendors to management, and provides feedback on vendor performance.
  • Provides consultation on benefits issues to ensure market competiveness and adherence to budgetary guidelines.
  • Advises, trains, and provides data, analysis, and tools on total rewards philosophy and programs to client group.
  • Coaches and consults with HR on day-to-day process and policy implementation, such as questions on incentive plans, medical insurance, wellness programs, etc.
  • Collaborates with HR to develop and ensure the continuous improvement of department guidelines, practices, procedures, and performance metrics.
  • Provides training for HR on Rewards topics, processes, and projects.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 8+ years of professional working experience in HR environment with progressive compensation and benefits experience required, preferably within the manufacturing industry, technology industry or within a consulting business.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently on complex projects in the Compensation and Benefits area.
  • High level of specialized knowledge in all Compensation and Benefits topics, such as remuneration concepts, market analysis, benchmark surveys, etc.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze statistical data and develop sound recommendations and develop solutions to complex problems that affect more than one discipline (BU’s, HR, Finance, Legal, etc.)
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office required, especially Excel and Access. Knowledge/experience with HR systems such as Oracle preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration or Human Resources preferred.
