Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Supply Chain Managers are responsible for the timely, cost-effective procurement, inventory control, planning and quality control of production materials. They ensure the availability of materials in the supply chain, as scheduled, and the maintenance of inventory at the established levels. They coordinate and integrate the flow of materials and information among suppliers, manufacturers, distributors and customers, identifying opportunities for improving efficiency, effectiveness and capabilities of the supply chain. Resources are focused on continuous improvement of the movement of materials through production processes, and the establishment of key performance metrics and benchmarks to monitor actual performance against goals.

Responsibilities & Background

Key responsibilities:

  • Plans and monitor production schedules for all product lines;
  • Develop effective forecasting for plant output to meet and exceed customer expectations and business targets;
  • Generate and review plant capacity data;
  • Plans flow of work through the plant, considering raw materials and shipping dates of finished products;
  • Follows the progress of work on assigned orders to ensure the production schedule is being met, investigates incomplete or delayed orders;
  • Works with buyers to assure raw materials and purchased parts meet production and delivery requirements;
  • Responsible for expedites within value streams, as required, to ensure production schedules are met;
  • Monitors and report changes to schedule and forecast and implementation of mitigation and recovery plans;
  • Initiate and participate in continuous improvement activities related to production planning, customer service and inventory management;
  • Manage and maintain strategic stock inventory levels ensuring uninterrupted supply of parts while maintaining optimal inventory levels, along with ensuring customer reliability and meeting target inventory turns;
  • Provide order status updates for key account customers, applying appropriate action plans to recover any deviations;
  • Responsible for delivering key business performance index ship to schedule/request, Lead time reductions and schedule adherence.


  • Degree in Management, Economics, Industrial Engineering or similar;
  • 2+ years of experience working in materials planning, supply chain or equivalent role;
  • Experience working in high volume, high variation, high complexity manufacturing business;
  • Experience using SAP (Desirable);
  • Strong communication and organization skills;
  • Good English (spoken and written).
