Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Manufacturing and Process Development Engineering Teams significantly impact LEANPD driven new product development projects, driving for excellence in existing manufacturing technologies and methods and striving to implement new manufacturing technologies to provide improved process and tolerance control. They act as the binding element between product development and manufacturing engineering, ensuring the effectiveness and efficiency of this critical interface. They support Product Development in the optimization of designs and piece parts for manufacturability by realizing sample tooling/products/prototypes. They also design, develop, and qualify tooling and processes to meet TE quality and production standards, document all processes and tooling in applicable TE systems, support supply chain to verify supplier compliance and capability, initiate and implement programs to continuously improve quality, cost and cycle time and adhere to all appropriate specifications, regulatory requirements and customer requirements.

Job Responsibilities & Qualifications


•    Key Process know-how role in Manufacturing Engineering Evora and by extension TE Evora. 
•    Responsible process engineer for specific processes in New Products and Sustaining projects
•    Process Specialist for one or more processes
    o    Laser welding
    o    Resistance welding / brazing
    o    Tinning and soldering
    o    Bending, cutting and calibration
    o    Notching, crimping, insertion, press-fit
    o    Arc welding (TIG, McGregor…)
    o    Gluing, dispensing, curing
    o    Adjustment processes with force-distance measurement

The Staff process specialist is part of the main process specialists in TE EMEA Automotive on the specific area or areas. She or he is requested for know-how and experience in TE EMEA Automotive and occasionally in other business units.  
The process specialist performs Six Sigma, Red X or other problem solving projects on the process to improve KPI’s (Scrap, process capability, stability and efficiency) and gain further knowledge. An important asset is the impact of the previous process and components on the process and product requirements. 


  • Bachelor or Master of Mechanical or Electrical Engineering and comparative
  • Minimum 5 years experience in process engineering
  • Good knowledge of statistics and methodical proceeding (Six Sigma or Red X)
  • Strong in soft skills and team work
  • English
