Job Description: 

Summary

  • Design of new packaging solutions (e.g., trays, tubes, etc.)
  • Optimization of existing packaging solutions and processes
  • Initiation and execution of packaging-related OMP and VAVE projects
  • Provide packaging support to other departments (Manufacturing, Purchasing, Logistics, EHS, etc.)
  • Improve packaging quality and ensure responsibility for packaging performance
  • Work on environmental packaging initiatives (e.g., weight reduction aligned with ISO 14001)
  • Drive packaging standardization
  • Order components and create/manage shipping documents for new project

Your main tasks

  • Develop and optimize manual and automated packaging concepts based on TE standards
  • Manage packaging projects end-to-end (from design phase to production implementation)
  • Coordinate technical alignment with: Customers, Product Engineering, Logistics, Manufacturing Engineering, Process Engineering, Packaging suppliers
  • Support supplier selection in collaboration with Purchasing
  • Prepare: Packaging project analyses, Work instructions, Cost calculations, Technical specifications
  • Develop and implement cost-saving initiatives related to packaging and logistics processes
  • Provide technical support to Purchasing for cost optimization activities
  • Drive and support EMEA packaging standardization at the local site
  • Support packaging-related activities in Manufacturing and Warehouse
  • Participate in or lead international packaging project teams
  • Order components and create/manage shipping documents for new projects

Quality, Safety & Environmental Responsibilities

  • Investigate packaging-related customer complaints and define corrective actions with Quality Assurance
  • Assess and document environmental impact of packaging according to: EN 13427and TE procedure EHS_P_10
  • Ensure compliance with: Environmental requirements; Safety standards; Ergonomic considerations
  • Support Supplier Quality Development for packaging suppliers

Your ideal background

  • Bachelor’s degree (minimum) in a technical field (Engineering or Operations Management preferred)
  • Minimum of 3 years in a manufacturing or production environment
  • Experience in supply chain or materials is a plus
  • Fluency in English written and spoken
  • Strong communication and digital tool skills (eg. MS Office)
  • Autonomous, creative, and team-oriented mindset
