Job Overview

The Manufacturing Quality Engineer is responsible for making the production process stable and sustainable with the objective to make quality products at the lowest possible cost. The MQE will act as a point of contact for all his/hers assigned technical processes.

Responsibilities:

Quality:

  • Processing internal and external justified customer complaints (manufacturing related) within the predefined timings by using FRB and 8D methodology: analyses the root causes (D4), implements corrective actions (D5) and validates the implemented actions (D6).
  • Acting as the contact person for the customer and answering their questions to that regard.
  • Deploys lessons learned to other product groups.
  • Responsible for the quality of the products in the production process and make improvements by analysing quality data.
  • Works closely together with the Quality Engineer to investigate customer support response complaints.
  • If necessary performs risk analysis on demand by customers (as part of customer specific requirements).

Productivity:

  • Offering daily support to the production department throughout the complete production process.
  • Responsible for debugging according escalation level and achieving the serial production quantity goals from start-up phase of new products as well as for existing serial production.
  • Responsible for the process validation of the different technologies (defining the right process parameters).
  • Define, implement and coordinate continuous improvement projects

New processes:

  • Produces the deliverables out of QMP_EMEA_025 & QMP_EMEA_077 for sustaining projects according his/hers responsibilities (MSA, cp/cpk, …).
  • Responsible for the RMS release of products together with product engineering. Investigates the impact of the product change and updates the process accordingly.
  • Part of the DRBFM team (Design Review Based on Failure Mode).

Audits:

  • Supports customer audits
  • Assigned as owner of different audit actions specific for his/hers processes and products.
     

Requirements:

  • Education level: engineering degree in Polymer or Mechanical Engineering.
  • 2 years experience in Plastic injection industry.
  • Eager to expand his/hers technical knowledge of processes.
  • You are quality-conscious and you work in a precise and structured way.
  • Can act as a project leader.
  • You have strong communication skills and you can motivate, train and make people enthusiastic.
  • Cooperation with your immediate colleagues is a must, so you are a team player.
  • Communicate fluently in English.
  • Preferable experience with quality tools (PPSR, 8D, 3x5 why, Ishikawa, FMEA, CP, SPC, auditing, …)
  • You are flexible. If needed you are prepared to be present in various shifts for training and guiding employees.
