As a Quality Analyst in the GDM Hub, you’ll play a key role in shaping the dimensional metrology value stream, working closely with global Plant Metrology Centers, NPD teams, and cross‑functional partners. You’ll have the opportunity to improve measurement systems, drive process excellence, and contribute to capability development—making a real impact on product quality from development through production.

Your main tasks

  • Collaborate with NPD, Sustaining Tooling, and Tool Builders to improve First Article Inspection FAI and Production Part Approval Process PPAP measurements using Measurement Systems and Software like Zeiss Inspect, Volume Graphics, WinWerth, and Calypso.
  • Support coordination with Product Engineering (PE), Tool & Die (T&D), and Suppliers in the basic definition of measurement strategies and initial analysis of point cloud and Computed Tomography (CT) data, contributing to the preparation of Measurement Reports in line with defined lead time targets.
  • Support automation initiatives related to the implementation of Model‑Based Definition (MBD) and the simplification of the PPAP process, assisting with the collection and organization of data extracted from FAI reports.
  • Support Product Engineering (PE) and Suppliers in the use of measurement reports and digital viewer files for results evaluation and to assist in tool correction activities.
  • Operate and program digital metrology equipment (CMM, 3D scanner, among others).

Your ideal background

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or related technical field
  • No professional experience required; suitable for recent graduates or candidates with up to 1 year of experience in dimensional metrology.
  • Knowledge of CAD software (e.g. Creo or similar 3D CAD tools) for visualization and interpretation of product geometry and technical data, is considered an advantage.
  • Basic knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) and Geometrical Product Specifications (GPS).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Working knowledge of English and Portuguese Language
  • Knowledge of additional languages, such as French or German, is considered an advantage.
  • Analytical mindset, curiosity, and strong motivation for continuous technical learning.
