Your main tasks

General Tasks

  • Responsible for safety and 5S+1 in the Engineering Laboratory
  • Responsible for usage of the test equipment strictly following the TE safety rules
  • Supervises laboratory engineers, defines tasks for lab engineers
  • Responsible for lab documentation according to ISO 17025, automotive industry and TE rules
  • Responsible for planning, acquisition and maintenance of lab equipment and test setups
  • Responsible for lab goal setting, lab KPI tracking and continuous improvement   

 

Specific Tasks

  • Planning of resources according to test requests and to overall objectives for the PE Lab
  • Ensures that all test requests (including project number), test sample data (including materials differing from standard), test conditions and test results are stored in the lab data base (DigiLab)
  • Plans and ensures execution of tests in according to test request, customer and internal specifications
  • Assures test model, sample size and sample preparation are according to the requested normative
  • Selects suitable equipment to assure test scope and test targets
  • Monitors time plans committed for test
  • Performs measurements after test in according to the reference Normative
  • Analyses samples after the test thoroughly
  • Verifies test results consistency before reporting them
  • Keeps continuously updated on customer normative and main international norms for testing
  • Provides timely and effective response and support to both internal and external customers

Your ideal background

  • Bachelor / Master of Science in Mechanical-, Electrical-, Mechatronics- or Material Engineering, Physics or similar areas
  • At least 5 years experience of test laboratories
  • Professional experience in Automotive Industry and knowledge of international normative for product testing in Automotive Industry
  • Knowledge of requirements and implementation of ISO 17025
  • Experience with electronic hardware and software design
  • Analytic thinking, effective problem-solving skills and risk assessment methods by using modern analysis and design tools
  • Skills for collaborating in international, cross-functional engineering project teams
  • Good communication skills and technical English Language skills
  • Practical and solution-oriented mindset
