Electro-Mechanical Engineer (m/f)

Job Overview

TE Connectivity’s Product Engineering Teams optimize existing products from information or input provided by marketing, customers, Operation Teams, Development Engineers or other employees. They maintain existing products, processes, and specifications including modifications for new applications consistent with manufacturing techniques and economies. They also initiate and implement programs to continuously improve quality, and cost, while meeting customer requirements and may support and implement product extensions to existing platform products to meet specific customer requirements. They are the key experts in the products they are responsible for at TE.

Responsibilities & Profile

Tasks & Responsabilities

As an Electro-Mechanical Engineer for Product Engineering Laboratory you will:

  • Plans, executes and analyses test results according to the different applying standards and the internal and external costumer request and specifications.
  • Assures test model, sample size and execution are according to internal and external costumer specification and to the requested standard
  • Prepares and manages product samples preparation in according defined test sequence
  • Selects suitable equipment to assure test scope, targets and costumer requirements 
  • Maintains and upgrades equipment to its needs 
  • Concepts, draws and implements new fixtures for test assemblies
  • Monitors the timing plan committed for tests
  • Performs measurements after test in according to the reference Normative
  • Analyses samples after the test thoroughly
  • Verifies test results consistency before reporting them
  • Keeps itself continuously updated on customer specifications and main international norms for testing
  • Works cross-functionally with Manufacturing Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Product Management, and other team members during product development
  • Supports analysis of process problems and root cause analysis of quality problems
  • Provides timely and effective response and support to both internal and external customers


Profile

  • Bachelor or Master’s degree in Electromechanical Engineering/EE/Mechanical Eng./Mechatronics/Physics/Materials science or similar
  • Profound technical knowledge in Electrical and Mechanical Engineering and related materials knowledge   
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Fluent in English (oral and written)

  • Professional experience in Automotive Industry
  • Knowledge of international normative for product testing in Automotive Industry
  • Project management skills
