Value Stream Manager Molding

Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Molding Teams operate assigned automated molding machinery, ensure component flow, troubleshoot and correct machinery issues to ensure quality and productivity. They perform changeovers and setups according to production schedule, perform quality checks according to established processes and document the results as required by our quality procedures. Every team member is responsible for maintaining housekeeping and organization of the work area as well as following TE Connectivity's EH&S policies and procedures.

Task Summary and Responsibilities:

• Responsible manager of department within his / her area of competence who reports directly to the Operations manager.
• Supervises the activities of his/her department’s employees, prepares and communicates their work schedules.
• Ensuring the serviceability of production equipment, inspection, repair and maintenance of equipment condition.
• Checks the preconditions of production, the operative condition of the machines and the equipment necessary for production, usage of documentation and spare parts record management.
• Prevention of unexpected malfunctions.
• Collects operational problems forward to the management and or develops a proposal for a solution.
• Its task is to improve quality improvement processes, provide resources and coordinate resources related to changes in production.
• Motivate and educate employees.
• Performing general administrative and management tasks within her/his department.
• Preparation of reports with respect to own department.
• Responsible for the department's budget.
• Responsible for the department's work discipline.
• Responsible for providing employees with work clothes and protective equipment and compliance with occupational safety and health regulations.
• Responsible for complying with environmental regulations.
• Responsible for the cleanliness of his/her department and the ordering of machinery and equipment.
• Responsible for eliminating losses through value stream flows and to create flexible, reliable, and easy to use systems.
• Leads and controls members of the value stream to achieve organizational goals aligned with the company’s TEOA goals.
• Responsible for the implementation and coordination of all TEOA assets within the assigned value stream organization, for its continuous evaluation, in order to reduce losses and achieve the goals.
• Integrates the previously unrelated processes (departments) from a customer perspective into a closely related value stream
• Facilitates the development and sharing of best practices across the department.
• Builds strong and positive working relationships with all functional areas within the company.
• Preparation and maintenance of vacation plans
• Responsible for carrying out duties in accordance with the current quality, environmental, and work and safety, health protection policies of the company as well as the duties defined in employee’s scope of responsibilities.
• Every employee is responsible for his / her own work

What your background should look like:

• Relevant college or university degree
• At least 5-8 years’ work experience as a manager, preferably in manufacturing environment
• Knowledge of molding manufacturing technologies
• Strong communication skill
• Advanced knowledge of MS Office applications, i.e. Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint
• Ideally, SAP knowledge
• English knowledge in verbal & written
