Job Overview
TE Connectivity's Financial Planning & Analysis Teams develop, interpret and implement financial concepts for financial planning and control. They perform technical analysis to determine present and future financial performance. They gather, analyze, prepare and summarize recommendations for financial plans, acquisition activity, trended future requirements and operating forecasts. The Financial Planning & Analysis Teams also perform economic research and studies in the areas of rates of return, depreciations, working capital requirements, investment opportunities, investment performance and impact of governmental requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Conducts economic/financial research and quantitative analyses of information affecting budgets, expenses, and other financial projects as assigned for use in the development of business strategies and in subsequent appraisal of results, preparing statistical studies and economic forecasts of business conditions and trends.
- Collects and analyzes financial information for assigned accounts, products or product lines, or business units including cash flow, expenditures, revenue, depreciation, and investments to make recommendations for action and/or modifications regarding financial procedures, plans, and controls.
- Provides guidelines for standard cost approaches used in business decisions and establishes and monitors cost reduction programs.
- Provides direction to functional counterparts in operating units as required, and to operating and senior management on matters involving cost determination problems, or issues such as inventory valuation, distribution of overhead, treatment of joint costs and product pricing to track the organization's progress against its financial goals.
- Participates in the development of long-range financial forecasts and related budgets, considering alternative scenarios and economic prospects as appropriate.
- Conducts special studies and analyses such as determination of working-house, or subcontract and cost impact of proposed facilities or processes.
- May define assumptions for the quantification and analysis of investments, acquisitions, or divestitures.
- Assists in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, or annual financial statements.
- Reports current or expected financial performance and creates financial models to guide decision making.
- Support for the CAPEX process.
- Participation in monthly financial clearance closure
- Responsible for carrying out duties in accordance with the current quality, environmental, and work and safety, health protection policies of the company as well as the duties defined in employee’s scope of responsibilities.
What your background should look like:
• Relevant college or university degree
• At least 1-3 years’ work experience in controlling area
• Strong communication skill
• Advanced knowledge of MS Office applications, i.e. Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint
• Ideally, SAP knowledge
• English knowledge in verbal & written
