Position Overview:

TE is looking for a Supplier Auditor to join our Supplier Quality team in the Automotive Business Unit in EMEA. As an Automotive Supplier Auditor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and compliance of automotive suppliers with our company's standards and industry regulations. You will be responsible for conducting thorough and objective audits (based on VDA 6.3) of supplier processes, products, and systems to identify potential risks and areas for improvement and for the development of suppliers. This position requires a deep understanding of quality management systems, automotive manufacturing processes and relevant industry standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, schedule, and conduct audits of automotive suppliers' facilities, processes and products to assess compliance with TE Automotive EMEA requirements, established quality standards, contractual obligations and relevant industry regulations.
  • Follow up on corrective actions to ensure that they are implemented effectively. Maintain records of audits and corrective actions. Provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Lead projects to onboard and develop suppliers. Conduct assessments to evaluate their capacity to meet the TE automotive requirements. Provide support in terms of training, knowledge sharing, and technical assistance. Foster a collaborative and transparent relationship to ensure open communication and a shared commitment to quality and excellence.
  • Participation in the further development of supplier audit methods and the supplier quality management system.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field. A relevant master's degree is a plus.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in the automotive industry, preferably in supplier quality management, quality assurance or manufacturing.
  • Strong knowledge of auditing principles and practices, with experience in conducting supplier audits and process assessments (Molding, Stamping, Assembly, Plating, …).
  • Certified process auditor according to VDA 6.3
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001, IATF 16949, and other relevant automotive quality standards and regulations (Core Tools, VDA, CQI, …).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills in a multiethnic and multicultural environment. Demonstrating respect and understanding for different cultural norms, beliefs, and practices is vital.
  • Ability to build strong working relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple audits and projects simultaneously, adhering to strict timelines and deadlines.
  • Capable of thriving in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment, adapting to changing priorities and requirements.
  • Willingness to travel frequently to supplier facilities for on-site audits (estimated 50 to 75% of the time).
  • Very good skills in English, additional languages are welcome.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office, Sharepoint, SAP
