Job Overview

Assist in directing and coordinates operations activities within the organization to obtain optimum efficiency and economy of operations and maximize profits as well as activities of Distribution Center departments. Follow up on daily coordination with 
company KPI goals, activities, and strategies. Provides for a work environment that is safe, efficient, and assist on motivating the ops team, including technical support, through of continuous improvement in process & quality. Help the Ops supervisor on all 
strategies reduction overall costs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and analyze reports, records, directives, and confer with personnel to obtain data required for planning DC activities, such as DC shipment commitments, status of work in process, and problems encountered.
  • Give work direction, resolve problems, prepare work schedules and set deadlines to insure completion of operations functions, goals, and strategies.
  •  Assist on coordinate activities of DC with inter-related activities of other departments to insure optimum efficiency and economy.
  •  Prepares reports and records on departmental and DC activities for management.
  • Evaluates current procedures and practices for accomplishing activities and functions of DC. Develops and implements alternate methods designed for improvement of work standards, quality, lead time reduction and safety.
  • Ensure staffing / capacity requirements are in line with production demands. Develop good outside processing sources to achieve optimum process capability and flexibility. Exercise subcontract options as necessary to support shipments.
  •  Support new service offerings, introduction, and development efforts by assuring design processes and services that meet customer and company quality and reliability expectations.
  • Assist with the implement cost reduction efforts that innovate product design and production processes. Improve product quality and value. Stay abreast of technological advances and apply them as appropriate.
  •  Provide support to troubleshoot production equipment, processes and technical problems.
  • Provide manufacturing documentation as needed. Provide technical training and assistance to production staff.
  • Makes decisions that can affect product quality

What your background should look like:

Education and Experience Requirements

Minimum Associate Degree (two year) Preferably in Logistics 

 

• 2 years of experience as backup supervisor.
• Analyze shipment outbound SAP logs.
• Review the inbound timeliness of scheduled for deliveries.
• Track inventory levels for proper pickups and puta-ways. 
• Constantly work to improve the DC KPI processes.
• Make suggestions for productivity improvements.
• Assist on employee optimization DC workflow.
• Help Determine and track most important warehouse KPI’s.
• Ensure that facility equipment is properly maintained.
• Communicate and collaborate with other team members in the DC. 
• Train, couch and evaluate new warehouse workers.
• Ability to manage inventory.
• Ability to analyze data and provide insights from data.
• Critical thinker and problem-solving skills.
• Team player.
• Good time-management skills.

COMPENSATION
•    Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $48,896-$61,120 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
•    Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
•    Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
