Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Manufacturing/Production Teams transform raw materials into finished goods and ensure component flow. They perform changeovers and setups according to production schedule, perform quality checks according to established processes and document the results as required by our quality procedures. Every team member is responsible for maintaining housekeeping and organization of the work area as well as following TE Connectivity's EH&S policies and procedures.

 

Overview:

TE Connectivity is currently seeking candidates for Production Operator III at our El Cajon, CA facility. The Production Operator III is responsible for the safe operation of high-speed automatic assembly machines. This includes setting up machines and performing changeovers. The ideal candidate has a desire to learn in a fast-paced environment and possesses the attention to detail that is required to make quality parts for our customers.

 

Responsibilities:

•     Operate assigned automated assembly machines, stock components, identify and re-set machine faults, clear jams, restart production, remove and package finished product. Perform changeovers and setups including tooling adjustment, pin out, keying features and feed adjustment based on associated standards.

•     Perform quality checks per the quality inspection plan (QIP). Document specified measurements per print at required intervals using, height indicator, ram optic, gages as well as completing visual checks under a microscope.

•     Complete traceability log, repair log, pro job ticket and scrap form. Report completed production.

•     Housekeeping and organization - Remove and empty scrap collectors as required.  Remove trash.

•     Perform daily/weekly/monthly preventive maintenance. - Train other employees on changeovers and adjustments.

•     Perform all other duties as assigned.

What your background should look like:

Education & Qualifications:

•     High school diploma or GED required

•     Technical certificate, degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience

•     Ability to read and interpret blueprints and use various measuring devices.

•     Mechanical/Technical experience in a LEAN Manufacturing environment preferred

•     Must be able to operate machinery

•     Basic understanding of computer operations SAP Manufacturing.

•     Cognizant of ISO9001 management system standards.

•     Must be able to move materials weighing up to 50 pounds

•     Must be able to remain in stationary position 75% of the time

•     Must be able to move between work zones

•     Must be proficient in the English language

COMPENSATION
•    Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $41,600 – $45,760 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
•    Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
•    Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
