Job Overview

 TE Connectivity, Supply Chain Manager I to manage the end-to-end supply chain for our Marine, Oil & Gas Production facility in El Cajon, CA.  The scope of this position includes demand management, supply planning, and supplier management – requiring a supply chain professional with experience across multiple supply chain disciplines and the ability to successfully collaborate across all levels with customers, suppliers, and internal organizations.   The successful candidate will manage the supply chain setup and subsequent supply chain operations, including Shipping / Receiving functions - from project initiation to volume production.  The role requires a highly motivated and energetic person to develop and implement comprehensive supply chain management strategies.


Primary Duties


Demand/Supply Management: 
•    Analyze forecast signals from Sales, R&D and operations to generate an optimized build plan while ensuring effective communication across extended supply chain
•    Manage order scheduling, backlog, and rescheduling processes
•    Proactively identify and resolve supply/demand gaps with a focus on meeting all customer requirements in the most efficient manner possible
•    Develop and maintain appropriate safety stock and other flexibility strategies
•    Ensure supply chain resources aligned to efficiently fulfill demand, working closely with Product/Process Engineering to ensure optimal timing and utilization of capacity
•    Effectively communicate and manage expectations with customers and suppliers
•    Active participation in monthly demand/supply meetings
•    Manage scrap inventory and disposition
•    Head RCA and initiatives to drive improvement measure


Supplier Management:
•    Manage the source selection in collaboration with Engineering, Quality & Operations with contract development and negotiation
•    Maintain ongoing contract management including business reviews and performance management
•    Ensure all fulfillment or other performance issues are proactively identified and managed – minimizing impact to customer.
•    Create alignment with TE preferred supplier base, heading evaluation efforts of new strategic suppliers in conjunction with R&D and materials management.
•    Identify key components and suppliers and develop risk mitigation plans


Product Cost Management:
•    Define specific product and cost reduction targets and associated supply strategies to achieve these targets through negotiations, cost reduction roadmaps etc

 

Supply chain design and process development: 
•    Handle all supply chain process development and improvement efforts using lean business process principles
•    Ensure supply chain readiness for all new product launches including process and system requirements
•    Drive material ramp planning and risk analysis/mitigation planning
•    Product launch project management: 
•    Be responsible for the development and implementation of all required supply chain capabilities and processes in support of product launches
•    Ensure all supply chain support functions are represented and the final supply chain design reflects best known TE suppliers, systems, and processes
•    Drive cross functional alignment on launch plans, process development, and project deliverables

What your background should look like:

 

•    Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering or related field
•    7-9 years supply chain experience with demonstrated expertise in demand and supply management, project leadership, staff leadership, supplier management and logistics functions
•    3-5 years Demand Management experience
•    Working knowledge of Lean Supply Chain/Lean Manufacturing preferred
•    Experience with ERP systems

COMPENSATION
•    Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $109,700 - $164,600 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
•    Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
•    Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
