Job Overview
The Materials Planning Support II role is responsible for supporting the execution of Supply Chain Planning and Procurement activities to ensure uninterrupted production operations. This position gathers and maintains data related to, Bill of Material Accuracy, material quantities, and Material Part numbers, and plays a key role in initiating purchase orders and maintaining appropriate inventory levels to meet production. schedules.
Job Requirements
- Transport materials to and from designated areas in support of manufacturing operations. Materials may include raw materials, components, packaging, finished goods, and scrap.
- Prepare outgoing materials using methods such as scanning, labeling, and packaging to ensure accuracy and proper handling.
- Assess material needs for assigned production areas at the start of each shift and place orders within the system to support production schedules.
- Maintain appropriate inventory levels in alignment with production demand and schedule requirements.
- Coordinate with production and internal teams to ensure inventory accuracy and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Communicate with internal stakeholders (e.g., production, logistics, supply chain) regarding material availability, order status, and potential supply risks.
- Support the documentation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of standard operating procedures, work instructions, and internal processes.
- Assist in tracking and monitoring key operational metrics, including inventory levels and material flow.
- Contribute to process improvements, cost savings initiatives, and overall supply chain efficiency.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in accordance with company standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What your background should look like
- High school diploma, vocational training, or equivalent preferred.
- Typically requires 2-3 years of related experience in materials planning, inventory control, logistics, or supply chain support
- Basic understanding of supply chain systems (ERP/MRP) preferred
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment
- Must be proficient in English language.

COMPENSATION
• Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $49,100– $73,600 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
• Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
• Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
