Job Overview
This position is responsible for material planning in the manual MRP/ERP system to help Master Scheduling develop and maintain an executable production schedule to meet customer request. The role will require making recommendations through data material analysis and reporting to help the stakeholders with project execution. This position will support Supply Chain team from quotation to delivery of projects.
**THIS POSITION IS 100% ON-SITE AT THE EL CAJON, CA FACILITY**
Job Responsibilities
- Support Supply Chain Team by helping develop and maintain executable production schedules from backlog based off of material availability to achieve customer request.
- Plan the execution of the production plan in a manual MRP/ERP for your product line and continuously update to system with known challenges.
- Participate in daily tier and production meetings.
- Support master scheduling through validating data in system.
- Plan within MRP system the appropriate inventory levels to support desired customer delivery requirements.
- Provide suggestions for inventory levels of components and finished goods to support project execution.
- Work with Buyers to address material priorities and shortages.
- Support material strategies as needed to meet production schedules.
- Support shop floor with material flow disruptions.
- Support program management with timely status on your product line.
- Provide feedback to sales and customer service to drive order improvements.
- Collaborate across Supply Chain, Engineering, Production, and Program Management to ensure alignment and execution success.
- Ensure Engineering change notifications are captured and actioned at the material and shop floor level.
What your background should look like
- BS or BA Degree preferred in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, Operations or related field with a minimum of 5 years or equivalent experience
- Experience Materials and Project Planning
- APICS certification or equivalency preferred
- Possess the ability to multi-task in a fast changing environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure, balancing conflicting priorities and resource constraints
- Strong understanding of MRP logic and inventory control
- Experience MRP/ERP systems such as SAP and Global Shop
- Strong Computer skills; Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Excellence in Excel a must.
- Ability to analyze and reconcile material issues

COMPENSATION
• Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $94,500 ($45.43 an hour) - $141,800 ($68.17 an hour) (subject to change dependent on physical location)
• Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
• Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
