Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Environmental Health & Safety Teams ensure and monitor safety in the workplace. This includes the application and communication of health, safety and hazardous material standards, procedures and practices consistent with TE, environmental and government regulations.

Job Requirements

  • Develop written health and safety programs and related training materials, including delivering training materials
  • Develop and deliver safety training programs to all levels of management and employees and ensure those involved in maintaining the organization’s EHS programs awareness of their responsibilities and how to discharge them. Provide training for all employees in support of achieving 100% engagement in EHS. Including behavior-based safety (BBS), ergonomics programs, risk assessment, EHS training, machine guarding and employee engagement.
  • Ensure compliance with all Regulatory requirements (OSHA, EPA, and all other federal, state, and local regulations) including the site’s wastewater permit and management of hazardous waste.
  • Facilitate in risk assessments, advising risk assessment teams on the assessment process; quantification of risks; prioritizing risks for action and effective risk control measures.
  • Serve as plant resource for EHS-related activities.
  • Perform or coordinate department/plant-wide inspections of safety procedures, equipment, and programs to ensure compliance with appropriate regulatory requirements and risk reduction management.
  • Participate in incident investigations and advise management on appropriate corrective actions. Report on findings and work with plant management to develop action plans to address deficiencies. Collaborate with other groups to complete the required activities.
  • Assist and/or conduct environmental, health and safety compliance audits including pre-audit preparation, facility auditing, and preparation of clear and concise finding reports.

What your background should look like

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Health and Safety, related field or equivelant related work experience 
  • Experience working in a team environment
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and Occupational Health and Safety Administration (OSHA) law and regulations.
  • Strong MS Excel and Word experience
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Must continually seek improvement and effect change in the operating systems
  • Ability to communicate effectively through email, instant messaging, and verbal methods
  • Ability to work individually and in a team environment
  • Demonstrated ability in conducting audits and inspections of all aspects of EHS throughout a site.
  • Strong problem solving and decision-making skills with the ability to develop multiple solutions to an issue and make valid recommendations for resolution.
  • Able to understand and execute processes including: recognizing customer needs, communicating process changes, measuring and assessing success and identifying areas of improvement

COMPENSATION
•    Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $66,300 - $99,400 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
•    Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
•    Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
