JOB OVERVIEW
The Senior Regional Product Manager is responsible for developing a regional product strategy and coordinating new product introductions into the EMEA market. Based on interactions with internal and external partners and customers s/he creates a holistic view of the regional market for her/his product portfolio by conducting “voice of customers” and competitive analysis and derives and details value proposition for new products realized together with the Global PM and product creation teams.
S/he will be responsible for defining a winning regional portfolio, meeting market and customer expectations and securing profitable business. S/he will be accountable for the regional portfolio business performance including revenue, profitability, and long-term growth.
S/he will bring a growth-oriented and customer-centric mind-set, excellent commercial acumen and cross functional experience, and a hands-on leadership style into the team.
The role will appeal to those with aspirations for leading market and business changes, personal and career growth. The successful candidate will be part of the Product Management team and will report to the Head of Regional Product Management EMEA of Industrial Relays/PS sub-vertical.
Responsibilities
• Articulate market trends, demand drivers, customer needs, industry trends, and competitive landscape
• Conduct market segmentation exercises to develop market segment-specific strategies
• Conduct competitive analysis and benchmarking
• Assess Product Demand Forecast (S&OP) to support Operations/Manufacturing and influence long term capacity planning
• Design go to market strategy, inclusive of channel strategy and partnerships
• Manage the product lifecycle, by actively promoting or exiting products in accordance with Global product strategy
• Work cross functionally to shape sales and marketing strategies and goals, in line with financial goals. Build consensus on specific tasks.
• Support the development of a 5-year strategic growth plan, market analysis, competitive analysis, industry trends and market penetration of product lines.
• Be a leader in solving conflicts and finding resolution to challenges impacting customer experience
• Enable sales to promote product line via training and the development of collateral materials that help articulate the value proposition.
• Manage special pricing requests.
• Lead/Support customer meetings in support of winning new business.
What your background should look like:
Qualifications, Experiences & Knowledge:
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, Business Administration or equivalent
• 5-7 Years previous experience in Sales, Marketing, Product or Manufacturing Management
• Advanced degree (MBA) or relevant business management experience is preferred.
• Experience in the field of Relays, or industry experience (automation, robotic, motion & drive is a plus
Competencies:
• Strong commercial and marketing skills, including ability to derive insights from VOC (Voice of Customer)
• Familiarity and experience leveraging a commercial tool kit, VOC, Market Segmentation, Strategic Pricing, Customer communication etc.
• Experience influencing others and getting things done through others
• Working knowledge of Industrial product markets
• Strong analytical, planning, forecasting and budgeting/financial skills
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• The ability to manage multiple, complex priorities within demanding time limits
• Must be fluent in both English & German
