The Demand Analyst, as part of the S&OP team,m is responsible for forecast accuracy at a part number level for assigned locations, customers, RS, and product lines.
He/Spartnersner with product management, sales teams, and customers in the creation of a consensus forecast and understands any significant changes/exceptions to the
demand trends. The role supports the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process through data-driven demand analysis, ensuring alignment between market demand, inventory strategy, and operational constraints to support business objectives.
Job Requirements
- Work with cross-functional colleagues throughout the Sales and Operations Planning Process (S&OP) to agree on the numbers to be published for upcoming months (period defined per the business).
- Develop, maintain, and refine short-term, mid-term, and long-term demand forecasts by analyzing historical demand patterns, seasonality, customer ordering behavior, distributor signals, and market trends.
- Actively manage demand forecasts by region, customer, and product, adjusting based on market trends, sales inputs, customer commitments, and project pipelines.
- Monitor demand plan versus actual performance monthly, including demand, billings, forecast accuracy, bias, nd variance analysis; identify root causes and define corrective actions.
- Prepare and present analytical materials for monthly Demand Review, MBR, and S&OP meetings, clearly explaining forecast assumptions, changes, risks, and opportunities.
- Use all available tools to ensure proper communication and planning alignment (SAP, IBP, Salesforce,
Excel-based models, email, etc.). - Maintain MRP groups and Safety Stock for assigned sealable products, aligning with MRP policies, operational constraints, production sequencing, and inventory positioning assumptions.
- Support inventory strategy development by analyzing demand variability, forecast accuracy trends, safety-stock sks, and service-level impacts.
- Participate in demand-related issues such as late deliveries, excess or obsolete inventory, and service-level
gaps; work cross-functionally on corrective and preventive actions. - Support forecasting tools and analytics enablement, validating statistical outputs, improving data quality, and enhancing analytical efficiency.
- Perform advanced demand analytics including trend analysis, segmentation, and scenario modeling to evaluate
potential demand outcomes. - Provide demand planning support for projects such as insourcing, migrations, new product launches, and demand attainment analysis.
- Ensure demand planning system integrity by maintaining accurate master data and consistency across tools
(IBP, SAP) - Assist in collaboration with Supply Chain and Sales teams to improve customer direct forecasts continuously and
delivery metrics. - Connect with critical customers to capture and align on forecasts.
- Comply with all TE policies, rules, and regulations, including consistent attendance and process discipline.
What your background should look like
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent. APICS certification is a plus.
- 3+ years’ experience in Demand Planning, Demand Analysis, or Supply Chain Planning.
- Experience supporting S&OP, Demand Review, and cross-functional planning processes
- Strong understanding of Demand Planning, S&OP, MRP, and Supply Chain concepts.
- Experience developing and analyzing demand forecasts, forecast accuracy metrics, bias, and variance.
- Hands-on experience with forecasting and planning systems such as SAP (IBP/ERP), JDA, Xelus, or similar tools; advanced Excel skills and exposure to analytics or Python-based models is a plus.
- Strong business analytics, data management, and problem-solving skills. Ability to translate complex data into clear insights and recommendations for stakeholders.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Fluent in English.
- Optional: Chinese or Spanish speaker (depends region affected)
- Experience working in a global, cross-functional environment is a plus.

- Ability to leverage AI-enabled forecasting and planning tools to interpret, validate, and challenge system-generated outputs, applying business judgment for market changes, lifecycle events, and demand exceptions
- Capability to use AI insights and automated analytics to streamline reporting, scenario analysis, and cross-functional decision support within S&OP, demand reviews, and inventory planning.
