TE Connectivity is seeking  an energetic Field Application Engineering Manager interested in driving growth within TE Connectivity’s Aerospace Defense & Marine sales team. A successful FAE Manager will serve as new business developers, technical consultants, and development engineers, while leading a team of FAEs to drive future growth.  In this management position, you will become a valued participant in strengthening our business and creating an exceptional customer experience, while leading a developing a team of FAEs. 

Responsibilities:

 

They will be covering all of US and managing a team within US

 

  • Be the initial point of contact for customers’ local engineering groups
  • Function as the technical interface between the customer’s engineers and TE community on all existing and new products
  • Interact directly with customers daily to assist with deliverables related to customer projects including 
    • new products
    • tolerance analysis
    • test studies
    • testing
  • Establish relationships with key customer engineering contacts and decision makers
  • Gain a solid understanding of customer’s product set and roadmap
  • Penetrate customers’ design cycle to be involved in the early stages
  • Represent and be an advocate for the customer
  • Use VOC tools to understand the accounts’ technology, strategic direction, and electronic connectivity needs
  • Support product & process qualifications 
  • Conduct on-site installation, processing concerns, quality issues, and service of product. Train customers on product usage/installation of products when needed.
  • Conduct/coordinate product training for distributor sales personnel
  • Assist with  part cross inquiries
  • Assist distribution partners with TE technical issues
  • Support a cross-functional, global team specific to the customer. The team may consist of a Program Manager, Quality Engineering, Logistics, Procurement, Operations, and Sales.
  • Collaborate design process with customers to help reduce limited resource usage to get a solid project start into to RTS or PAC process
  • Obtain or prototype concept samples for customer input 
  • Work with PM groups to ensure OEM documentation and specifications are in line with TE products
  • Communicate VOC needs to internal TE Connectivity teams
  • Maintain a solid understanding of TE products and future roadmap
     

What your background should look like:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in Business Administration or Engineering, MBA preferred
  • Must have 10  years or more experience with OEM defense customers and/or Tier 1 defense suppliers
  • At least 10 years or more in technical field sales or marketing
  • Clear, strategic thinker with the ability to execute on priorities
  • Innovative problem solver
  • Experience working with MS Power Point, Excel, Word, and Outlook (Salesforce is a plus)
  • Travel flexibility up to 75 % within the assigned territory or customer base and TE site

COMPENSATION
•    Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $ $139,800 – $209,800 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
•    Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
•    Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
