Supervisor Manufacturing Engineering Dortmund (m/f/d)

Job Overview

Leading and developing the Manufacturing Engineering Team in Plant Dortmund and defined perimter to allow smooth and efficient manufacturing processes, to deliver productivity improvement according target, to develop and align NPI manufacturing processes to customer and plant needs. All of this respecting EHS rules and regulations, within budgeted costs and guaranteeing the highest standard of quality excellence in the service that helps to generate value for employee and shareholder as well as the competitiveness of our client.

• Lead the local team of Manufacturing Engineers of Plant or defined perimeter incl. people development, priorities setting and escalation support
• Project management for internal processes as well as new/incoming needed projects
• Layout planification and documentation for tools and systems
• CAPEX specification, technical follow up, steering of installation, spart part definition,...
• Engineering change management (incl.calculation, costs billing, material and resources planing, etc...)
• Interface for internal customer mainly Engineering, Quality and Production/Maintenance departments
• Create, implement and review processes incl. all necessary documents (e.g. Standardized Work, MIFA,etc..) considering SC/CC spec., traçability, and ergonomics aspects,
• P-FMEA lead


• Responsibility for an upmost efficient industrial set-up (esp. CAPEX and men/machine capacity)
• Responsibility to guarantee industrial, EHS and TE standards are respected and correctly implemented
• Responsibility of the contingency plan for the ME perimeter
• Responsible for Process failure analysis and evaluation, failure statistics
• Participate to daily Tier 3 meeting (Plant review)

What your background should look like:
  • University/Engineer degree in mechanics, electronics or technical outcomes
  • Knowledge in wafer fabrication manufacturing processes is a plus • Strong technical skills, preferably fab processes experience > 5 years
  • Lean manufacturing, 5S, 6 Sigma, Kaizen,… and/or Structured Problem Solving       
  • Project management
  • Process guidelines (IATF 16949, and other needed ISO)
  • Team management with 3-5 years of experience
  • Good Leadership skills
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Experience in Mentoring/Coaching others  
  • Fluent in English and German language
  • Strategic influencing skills
