Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Environmental Health & Safety Teams ensure and monitor safety in the workplace. This includes the application and communication of health, safety and hazardous material standards, procedures and practices consistent with TE, environmental and government regulations.

Ensure and monitor EHS in the workplace including the application and communication of health, safety and hazardous material standards, procedures and practices with the objective of consistence with established company, environmental and government regulations within TE Dongguan.

 

Job Responsibilities:

Planning and Budgeting
Initiate and execute annual EHS improvement project plan, EHS training plan, EHS internal audit plan and annual EHS budget. 

People Management & Development
1.Allocate and balance work across direct reports, review and provide timely performance feedback to subordinate, coach, guide, develop and motivate them, help to resolve functional issues in the team, submit manpower request and interview candidates in order to achieve targeted function performance goal. 
2.Develop skills of direct reports and others with EHS responsibilities in the organization.

EHS Structure & Program Management
Build action plans for the implementation of the organization’s EHS programs and take a leadership role in execution in order to deliver the organization’s EHS goals and strategy.
1.Setting up strong Safety First culture.
2.Establish and develop procedures and teams for driving EHS improvements and managing EHS programs.
3.Communicate with all levels in the organization on EHS to engage with, influence and promote EHS culture. 
4.Follow up internal and external audit to verify EHS performance and continue improvement.
5.Maintein ISO14001 and TEOA Env. compliance tools.

Reporting
Implement below tasks in order to meet the requirements of reporting.
1.Report related required EHS data to site, BU management, BU EHS and Corporate EHS.
2.Report related EHS data required based on applicable legal regulations and TE policies.
3.Monitor and report organizational safety performance against TEOA Safety Tool.
4.Evaluate and report environmental performance quarterly using TE environmental assessment tools.

Sustainability and BCP
Focus on GHG, energy and hazardous waste reduction. 
1. Track energy reduction data. 
2. Work with Facility team to identify opportunities of energy reduction.
3. Coordinate business continuity plan of DG site.

What your background should look like:

• Typically a minimum of 13 years with Bachelor's degree or 10 years with Master's degree of equivalent level or qualification in safety, health, environmental, chemical, mechanical or related technical discipline;
• Professional EHS Certification preferred.
• Minimum 5+ years of progressive leadership and people management experience in EHS management in manufacturing.
• Strong demonstrated communication, negotiation, influencing, collaboration and team building skills.
• Demonstrated ability in conducting audits and inspections of all aspects of EHS.
