Manages and implements sourcing strategic project lifecycle, identifies emerging issues and trends, and recommends solutions.
Reports To: Directly reports to “Sr. Manager – Global PBL Procurement” and will be responsible for managing and Leading the growth of PBL business through driving transfer projects and flawless execution of NPIs. Position will have to manage a team of 5
- Developing and maintaining strategic vendor partners, conducting strategic supplier relationship management, risk analysis, and compliance management programs.
- Managing the strategic sourcing initiatives, measuring the effectiveness against the key performance indicators, and ensuring compliance with the regulatory standards.
- Collaborating with partners to align sourcing priorities, leading the source selection activities, driving savings, and risk assessment of the vendors.
- Identifying opportunities to reduce cost, conducting supplier and market analysis to determine the trends, developing, and executing the project implementation plans.
Job Requirements
Major Responsibilities:
- Strategy :
- Develop and deploy PBL procurement strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Build PBL growth roadmap in collaboration with SBT, PM, Footprint Team, Engineering and other stakeholders.
- Addressing Business Growth and Market Demands
- Build strategy for supplier rationalization
- Execution :
- Build a clear roadmap to execute the transfer projects and timely execution, meeting all the KPIs (Quality, Cost, Delivery, Development, Management)
- Manage timely execution of NPI projects
- Device process to accelerate the business decisions through quicker response time for RFQs, quote analysis and business case analysis.
- Enhancing Global Expansion
- Talent Building :
- Build high performing team to manage the PBL growth
- Focus on upskilling the team and prepare for long-term business growth
- Foster team work, collaboration and Kaizen mindset
Current Product Management –
- Monitor global market trends, supply-demand dynamics, and geopolitical factors.
- Mitigate risks related to commodity price fluctuations.
- Drive productivity initiatives through comprehensive cost analysis, market data evaluation, and negotiation.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to lead Value Analysis/Value Engineering (VA/VE) projects
Supplier Management -
- Drive a strong, capable, scalable supply chain ecosystem in SEA region.
- Identify and develop new suppliers in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Optimize the supplier base to enhance efficiency and quality.
- Negotiate master purchasing contracts, Quality Assurance agreements, Non-disclosure agreements, consignment contracts, etc., with suppliers.
- Lead quarterly supplier scorecard reviews to improve supplier performance in quality, delivery, and cost.
- Identify risks, opportunities, and underperforming suppliers; implement corrective actions to mitigate risks and ensure continuous improvement.
- Strengthening Supplier Management / Long-Term Partnerships/ supplier strategy
This position will strengthen strategic partnerships with key suppliers with multi skills
Team work-
- Coordinate cross-functional efforts to achieve project KPIs including savings, lead time reduction, minimum order quantity optimization, dual sourcing, and localization.
- Collaborate with plant teams as necessary.
- Accelerating Decision-Making and Market Adaptability

What your background should look like
Education, Technical Qualification & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree or above in a relevant field
- Fluent in spoken and written English
- 12+ years of sourcing experience in the plastic, Stamping, Plating, assembly and machining field, familiar with connector industry
- 5 years’ Experience working in a global/region commodity role in a multinational company.
- > 6+ years’ experience in people management
- Engineering background is advantageous.
- Proficiency in office software; Familiarity with SAP
