Job Overview

Job Purpose: Define central material management plan for key commodities  and ensure execution across related plants with expected performance level.

Job Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

•Global Material Requirement Planning: Develop and execute a rolling material requirements plan (MRP) for assigned commodities, ensuring alignment with the global Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process and production schedules across multiple manufacturing sites.
•Inventory Management: Implement and manage target inventory levels (safety stock, cycle stock) globally to achieve optimal working capital goals while mitigating risks of material shortages.
•Supplier Collaboration: Serve as the primary planning contact for key global suppliers. Manage supplier release schedules, monitor performance (OTD, quality), and collaborate on demand forecasts.
•Purchase Order Management: Generate and manage global purchase orders and schedules, ensuring accuracy and timely placement in accordance with agreed-upon terms and lead times.
•Supply-Demand Balancing: Proactively identify potential supply constraints or surpluses. Work closely with plant planners, procurement to develop and execute mitigation strategies.
•Performance Monitoring & Analysis: Utilize ERP/MRP systems( SAP) and analytics tools to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as inventory turns, days of supply, material availability, and forecast accuracy. Report on performance and lead continuous improvement initiatives.
•Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner seamlessly with Central Procurement, Supply Planning, Logistics, Quality, and Finance teams to ensure a seamless, end-to-end supply chain.
 

What your background should look like

Qualifications and Experience

•Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field. APICS (CPIM/CSCP) or similar certification is highly desirable.
•Experience:  5-8 years of experience in planning (material planning, supply planning, or a similar role within a global manufacturing or distribution environment. Proven experience working with a centralized or global planning model is a significant advantage.
•Technical Skills: · High proficiency in ERP/MRP systems; SAP MM/PP modules is strongly preferred.
•Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data analysis) and experience with data visualization tools preferred (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
•Strong understanding of inventory management principles and S&OP processes.
