Our Data & AI organization is undergoing an exciting transformation, and we are looking for highly skilled leader to help shape its next chapter.
 

As TE Connectivity continues to scale its data, analytics, AI, and BI capabilities, we are seeking a Director, Data Platforms & Architecture to lead our enterprise-wide architecture and data platform strategy. Reporting directly to the Senior Director, Data & AI (CDO), this role offers the opportunity to shape next‑generation data platforms, modernize architecture principles, streamline engineering practices, and drive innovation across TE’s global footprint.

 

This leader will play a critical role in enabling advanced data and AI capabilities, unifying platform strategy across business units, and ensuring TE is equipped with scalable, high‑quality, high‑trust data foundations. The ideal candidate will bring a strong track record of leading large-scale data engineering and architecture initiatives in complex industries such as CPG, manufacturing, or healthcare.

 

The role requires deep collaboration across Data Engineering, AI & Data Science, BI leaders, IT stakeholders, and business partners to ensure TE’s data platforms and architectures deliver maximum business value.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership and develop a unified roadmap for AI, Data, and BI platforms and data architecture across TE’s business units.
  • Shape, lead, and develop a global Data, AI & BI Platforms & Architecture team.
  • Lead the design, development, and continuous improvement of data platforms, architecture patterns, and data engineering practices supporting AI, BI, and data products.
  • Define and implement technical strategies and enterprise roadmaps to integrate data, AI, and BI capabilities into cohesive, scalable solutions.
  • Ensure high‑quality, high‑trust data through sound architectural principles and strong data governance.
  • Anticipate industry trends, drive innovation, and translate insights into solutions that deliver measurable business value.
  • Build strong, trusted partnerships with internal and external stakeholders, clearly communicating the value created through data and technology.

Skills, Experience and Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, or related fields; advanced degree strongly preferred.
  • Extensive experience in Data & Technology Architecture, Data Engineering, and AI.
  • Demonstrated ability to shape platform and architecture strategies and influence effectively across global organizations.
  • Experience leading large, distributed teams and driving transformation in complex technical environments.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for business leaders and business needs for technical audiences.
  • Preferred sector experience in Supply Chain, Engineering, Sales, or Manufacturing.
  • Proven track record implementing architecture principles for enterprise-scale Data & AI capabilities, optimizing TCO, and retiring legacy platforms.
  • Hands‑on experience managing data pipelines, analytics platforms, and cloud‑native data architectures.
  • Expertise with Databricks, Redshift, AWS, Power BI, and modern data platform technologies; experience with GenAI and Agentic AI capabilities is an advantage.
  • Strong Agile and RVR practitioner with experience building prototypes, MVPs, and scalable technical roadmaps.
  • Experience leading multiple high‑profile projects, managing changing requirements, and setting clear priorities.

COMPENSATION
•    Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $195,000-$290,000 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
•    Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
•    Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
