The Aerospace, Defense and Marine (AD&M) business unit of TE is part of the Industrial Solutions segment -- a world leader in the design of components and electrical interconnection solutions that are used for applications in extreme and harsh environments. Job Overview
TE Connectivity's Supply Chain Managers are responsible for the timely, cost-effective procurement, inventory control, planning and quality control of production materials. They ensure the availability of materials in the supply chain, as scheduled, and the maintenance of inventory at the established levels. They coordinate and integrate the flow of materials and information among suppliers, manufacturers, distributors and customers, identifying opportunities for improving efficiency, effectiveness and capabilities of the supply chain. Resources are focused on continuous improvement of the movement of materials through production processes, and the establishment of key performance metrics and benchmarks to monitor actual performance against goals.
Responsibilities & Qualifications

As the Supply Chain Manager within the Aerospace, Defense, and Marine Business Unit this individual will be responsible for leading a high performing team of Supply Chain Analysts and Production Schedulers to plan short and long-range production, manage inventory, and perform root cause analysis for finished goods shortages and implementing long term corrective actions.

 

As the Supply Chain Manager, a typical day may include:

 

  • Establishing department objectives and goals to provide organizational visibility on key metrics and attainment
  • Actively tracking results and implementing actions to drive improvement in delivery and inventory management
  • Managing supplier’s expectations and performance
  • Developing and engaging team members to excel at their roles
  • Participating in cross-functional projects to review and implement continuous improvement projects across the facility

 

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, or related field
  • 3-5 years of experience in operations or supply chain logistics and people management
  • Prior planning and buying experience in a manufacturing environment (ideally with low volume/high product mix)
  • Strong analytical and project management skills
  • Prior experience managing and developing a team
