Job Overview

We are recruiting for a Senior Analyst position to support our global statutory reporting SME teams to implement & track various standardization initiatives relating to statutory accounting, reporting and statutory audit. 

The Role:

You will work with the support and guidance of the Krakow Statutory Reporting Lead (EMEA Controlling) and Global Lead for Statutory & Tax Processes (GCP) to:


•    Support the global deployment of the ONESOURCE Statutory Reporting tool by:

  • Becoming an SME for the tool by attending all training and implementation sessions with local teams and Thomson Reuters
  • Support local standard users with set up and roll-over activities
  • Act as an administrator and super user for the tool, with abilities such as adding/deleting users or entities, managing country master template updates, rolling-over periods, deciding on options available to standard users.
  • Where appropriate, undertake activities in the tool that can be performed centrally such as initial imports of SAP data and issuance of initial draft reports to local teams 
  • Maintain SharePoint page with training and guidance materials
  • Provide live training to teams as needed
  • Monitor the project roll-out and provide updates to key stakeholders.

 

•    Support other global statutory reporting projects, depending on capacity, as determined by the Global R2R Statutory Reporting Sub-Process Team or Global Lead for Statutory Reporting & Tax Compliance. These may include:

  • Standardization initiatives relating to the calculation, recording and/or audit of legal entity statutory financial statements,
  • Assist in the set up of the statutory non-leading ledger (S/4HANA), 
  • Assisting with statutory auditor SAP extracts or access requests,
  • Monitoring outside service costs relating to statutory accounting and audit, and supporting efforts to control spend, and
  • Maintaining centralized SharePoint data used to extract statutory accounting information for downstream processes, e.g., tax accounting and transfer pricing calculations. 
     

What your background should look like:

  • Hands on experience of using an enterprise accounting system (preferably SAP)
  • Some experience of preparing statutory reports
  • It would be desirable if you have had previous experience (2+ years) in a R2R or financial auditing role
  • You do not need previous experience of using ONESOURCE Statutory Reporting (or similar software platforms) but it would be advantageous

 

Competencies:

  • Completed a degree in higher education or a professional qualification in finance/accounting
  • Capable of working independently and applying analytical skills to accounting processes
  • Able to manage a project (past experience does not need to be at the same scale)
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to develop trusting and sustained relationships across geographic distance and diverse cultures.
  • A desire to work on a transformational finance project. 
  • Fluent in English language. Other European languages would be advantageous.
