Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Finance Teams are responsible for economic research, analysis of profit-and-loss income statements and preparation of reports on findings to make recommendations to management. They generate forecasts and analyze trends in sales, finance and other areas of business. The Finance Teams also create financial models of "what if" scenarios to help future business planning decisions.

What your background should look like:

Primary responsibilities:

You will work with the support and guidance of the Global Lead for Statutory & Tax Processes to:

  • Support the global deployment of, and be the key contact for, a new centralized and consistent process for calculating legal entity intercompany service fees, which will require coordination with each finance R2R/controlling team and maintenance of an Alteryx workflow process. 
  • Support the global transfer pricing team in developing an automated transfer pricing adjustment calculation (“Source P&L”) for legal entities, by developing and delivering data validation processes and reports. 
  • Once the above processes are stabilized, it is expected that this role will also take ownership of additional global/regional cost allocation processes, where costs accumulated in certain legal entities need to be charged out to multiple other legal entities. 

Secondary responsibilities:

You will work under the guidance of the Global Lead for Statutory & Tax Processes, and in close cooperation with the Transfer Pricing team, to:

  • Prepare transfer pricing local files in line with guidance issued by the global transfer pricing team (some of which is currently prepared by the global transfer pricing team and some of which may currently be outsourced).
  • Coordinate with local finance and tax teams to ensure each documentation package is reviewed, reconciled and approved.
  • Manage the intercompany agreements library and be responsible for the creation of new intercompany agreements using templates and following guidance issued by the transfer pricing team and the corporate secretary.
  • Reconcile intercompany agreements to the intercompany charges arising between legal entities.

What your background should look like:

  • Hands on experience of using an enterprise accounting system (preferably SAP).
  • Experience of building/maintaining automated data transformation processes in Alteryx (or similar) is desirable, e.g. it would be helpful if you have certification such as Alteryx Designer Core/Advanced.
  • It would be desirable if you have had previous experience (2+ years) in a R2R or Transfer Pricing role.

  • Completed a degree in higher education or a professional qualification in finance/accounting
  • Capable of working independently and applying analytical skills to accounting processes
  • Attention to detail, accuracy and completeness of data
  • Ability to leverage ERP to ensure service quality and operational excellence
  • Ability to balance multiple priorities
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to develop trusting and sustained relationships across geographic distance and diverse cultures.
  • Fluent in English language
