Communications and Change Lead (Global Trade Services)

 

Overview

TE Connectivity is seeking a communications professional to support the Global Trade Services (GTS) organization. This role develops communication plans and recommendations that build awareness, support engagement, and drive adoption of GTS priorities and initiatives.

 

The key focus of this position is to build strong relationships across TE, strengthen communication strategies, align stakeholders, and lead plan execution throughout the GTS organization and TE.

 

This role is responsible for GTS communications, including communication strategy, planning, content development, leadership messaging, and change management efforts across enterprise initiatives. The individual in this role identifies opportunities, assesses organizational needs, and develops recommendations and implementation plans. Working closely with GTS leaders and key stakeholders, they build alignment around communication priorities and approaches before leading execution. Success in this role requires influencing across teams, navigating complex stakeholder environments, and delivering high-impact initiatives across GTS and TE.

 

This role also partners with Learning and Talent Development to plan and execute training rollouts, improve the learner experience, and increase participation across GTS programs.

 

This position reports to the GTS Program Management Office (PMO) Learning & Talent Development Manager and partners closely across GTS and with cross-functional stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Communication Strategy and Planning

    • Advise on and develop communication and change management plans aligned to GTS priorities and leadership direction for review, approval, and execution
    • Translate project goals into structured communication approaches, including audience segmentation, key messaging, channel selection, and timing
    • Engage early in project planning to recommend communication and adoption approaches
    • Recommend communication approaches based on audience, urgency, and business impact, and lead execution once direction is approved

 

Content Development and Leadership Communications

    • Develop communication materials across formats, including presentations, talking points, newsletters, and enterprise messaging
    • Translate complex topics into clear, engaging content for global audiences
    • Guide the development and delivery of leadership communications, including VP-level messaging and presentations

 

Change Management and Adoption Support

    • Partner with GTS PMO on project enhancements or launches to lead change management efforts including stakeholder analysis, communication planning, and adoption of processes and systems
    • Gather feedback post-release and apply insights to improve future communications and adoption efforts

 

Communication Channels and Engagement Campaigns

    • Manage and improve key communication channels (Teams, shared mailboxes, newsletters, etc.)
    • Plan, produce, and project manage GTS town halls, including coordinating speakers, defining topics, and ensuring aligned, high-impact messaging, with final direction and approval provided by leadership
    • Develop and execute employee engagement campaigns aligned to GTS initiatives
    • Coordinate recurring communication programs, including learning sessions, newsletters, and time-sensitive communications such as regulatory updates and tariff alerts
      • Ensure messaging is consistent, accessible, and aligned across communication channels

 

Continuous Improvement and Measurement

    • Measure communication effectiveness using engagement data and feedback
    • Interpret communications data and guide improvements to strengthen reach, clarity, and impact, and help implement approved changes

 

Learning and Talent Development Support

    • Partner with GTS PMO Learning and Talent Development Manager to plan and execute learning and talent development programs and rollout activities
    • Coordinate webinar facilitation, participation tracking, and reporting on completion and effectiveness metrics
      • Ensure training and communication materials are accessible for global audiences, including non-native English speakers

Job Requirements

 

Minimum Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in communications, English, public relations, journalism, or related field
    • 5+ years’ experience in corporate communications or similar role
    • Strong writing, editing, storytelling, and digital content creation skills, with a commitment to quality
    • Experience developing communication plans, supporting enterprise initiatives, and change management efforts
    • Strong organization, prioritization, and stakeholder management skills
    • Ability to identify problems, recommend practical solutions, and execute effectively
    • Comfort interacting with leadership and executive audiences
    • Ability to foster teamwork
    • Demonstrated ability to use data and feedback to improve communication effectiveness
    • Experience with digital communication tools (e.g., SharePoint, Firstup, Viva Engage, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar tools)
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
    • Preferred: Bilingual (English/Spanish)
    • Preferred: Experience working in a global, cross-functional environment across diverse cultures
    • Preferred: Experience supporting communications in a compliance, industrial, or manufacturing environment
    • Some travel may be necessary
    • Location: Remote, but must be located in the Americas region

COMPENSATION
•    Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $119,600-149,400 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
•    Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
•    Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
