Job Overview


The Sales and Business Development Manager for Industrial and Commercial Transportation (ICT) is responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive ICT sensor sales and business development strategy to accelerate and grow a profitable ICT sensors business for specific ICT sensor customers in North America.  The execution strategy includes owning direct customer contact for sensor sales in coordination with the ICT sales force.  Additional responsibilities include sensor sales forecasting, opportunity pipeline management and forecasting and coordination with Product Management for new product introductions. This position reports directly to the Regional America’s Sales and Business Development Manager.

What you will be doing:

•Responsible for developing, implementing and executing plans for advancing sensor solutions to meet the OEM’s specific needs.
•Develop and maintain relationships at multiple levels in the customer base to position TE as a strategic partner to the customer.  
•Communicate results (monthly billing review, monthly rolling forecast and strategic plan) as well as needs to direct supervisor.
•Active engagement with customers that includes no less than effective commercial negotiation skills, strategic product development, overdue receivables recovery and issue resolution.
•Maintain knowledge of ICT regulations, market trends, competitive actions and technology trends. Utilize that knowledge to collaborate with product management team to ensure roadmap is aligned to meet customer and competitive landscape.
•Continually develop a product pipeline and win projects to ensure future growth.
•Work closely with the ICT sales team to present a united front to the customer to grow business.
•Maintain accurate and up to date records of all opportunities and disposition opportunities in SFDC as they evolve.


What your background should look like:


•Bachelor’s Degree in engineering required.
•Experience and knowledge of sales forecasting, market trends, competition & technology that will influence products and sales revenue is required.
•Minimum seven (7) years of key account management, business development or product management experience is required.
•Experienced working with ICT customers (On/Off highway, Ag & Construction) and sensor solutions is preferred.
•Must be comfortable facilitating technical discussion between TE and the customer’s engineering, project management, and continuous improvement teams.
•Strong presentation skills including presenting to executive levels both internally within TE and externally at the customer.
•Travel flexibility up to 50 - 60% within the assigned Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Ohio territory and TE sites.

•    Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $101,700 - $128,200 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
•    Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
•    Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
