Quality Engineer (f/m/d)

Job Overview

The Product Quality Engineer is responsible for improving manufacturing quality and reducing associated costs.
As the Quality referent, he/she supports and guides the Chassieu plant and its suppliers. 
He/she monitors, evaluates, selects and applies the principles and techniques of quality standards to the company. He/she ensures that the results meet the needs and objectives.

 

Responsabilities
Production : 
-    Develops quality control standards for Production and for suppliers.
-    Participates in the acceptance process of equipment and products from the plant and suppliers for new items, transfers or modifications.
-    Leads the resolution of quality problems (production and suppliers) and monitors corrective actions. 
-    Shows Plant and Supplier performance indicators.
-    Analyzes the various data available to improve quality and reduce non-quality costs. 
-    Analyzes production and supplier data to make recommendations and follow up on improvement action plans. Proposes and pilots action plans for quality improvement and cost reduction.
 

Quality System. 
-    Maintains a Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) process in Production
-    Carries out internal and supplier quality audits
-    Participates in maintaining ISO 9001 certification

What your background should look like:
  • Master’s Degree (High School +5 years) in a Engineering discipline-    Significant experience of at least 2 years in mechanical, electrical or plastics engineering in the industrial sector (experience in plastic moulding is a plus).
  • Experience in problem solving tools (5W, 8D, Six Sigma, etc.)
  • English and French read, spoken, written required
  • Relational ease (verbal and written) 
  • Ability to be agile and flexible, able to rise above and make efficient decisions.
  • Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams to generate results.
  • Ability to build partnership relationships with suppliers.
  • Availability for occasional international travel. 
  • Contributes to the team's efforts by being versatile and available.
  • Mastery of the Microsoft Office package (using SAP is a plus).
