Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Manufacturing engineer is a process leaders for molding and assembly related topics, ensuring the processes are running at optimum levels for quality and output. You are expert in mold tooling, possessing knowledge in optimization and standardization of molding environment.

You enable the TE business unit plants to reach TE Operating Advantage (TEOA) requirements, roll out Centers of Excellence (COE), Best Demonstrated Practices (BDP’s) and advise plants on tool and machine duplications / corrections / improvements.

You are support for Product Development team in the selection and optimization of tools for piece part production and the selection of the most suitable manufacturing concepts relative to planned manufacturing quantities, quality requirements and manufacturing location.

You act as interface between engineering and production to ensure manufacturability of new designs and smooth production ramp up as well as support the research & development teams to produce sample manufacturing equipment, product samples and prototypes.

You are under the responsability of the production manager.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

 

Responsibilities :

Developing and utilizing current and future state value stream maps to identify strategic projects corresponding 6-month implementation plans
Defining and sharing standardized programs to educate employees in the principles of Lean Manufacturing and Technical Problem Solving
Facilitate Continuous Improvement events within the plant.
Monitor and report site level measurements and performance to star assessment levels.
Create, plan, lead and follow-up of the TEOA implementation plan and ensure TEOA actions are visual to stakeholders and are driven to a sustainable closure.
Creation of work instructions.
Effectively support the production floor as needed.
Other duties may be assignated.

 

Qualifications :
Engineering Degree or a minimum of 5 years of experience in engineering in molding and/or assembling.
Experience with mold design, development, and manufacturing deployment.
Strong time and project management and presentation skills.
Proficient in MS Office Software such as Excel, Word, Outlook, and Access.
Fully proficiency in english

Nice to have :
SMED, KAIZEN, LEAN 6 sigma experience in the molding and/or assembly industry
