Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Finance Teams are responsible for economic research, analysis of profit-and-loss income statements and preparation of reports on findings to make recommendations to management. They generate forecasts and analyze trends in sales, finance and other areas of business. The Finance Teams also create financial models of "what if" scenarios to help future business planning decisions.


As Financial Analyst (f/m) for one of our product lines, you will act as business partner for the Product Management & R&D function on finance side, providing key analysis around product line profitability and supporting the product managers on business decisions. The main duties include (but are not limited to) working closely with Product Management and R&D teams to provide support on product, projects, global product line and part number rationalization. 
You will be reporting directly to the Finance Manager of the product line of one of the divisions of TE-Industrial Business. This position is based in Lyon / Chassieu (France). 


Your main responsibilities will be to: 

•    Provide monthly product line profit & loss reporting by working with the operations Finance team and Financial Planning & Analyst team 
•    Provide in-depth analysis by product / region / country / market on monthly and quarterly review 
•    Drive financial and cost consciousness in business activities, support as business partner to identify the core business and growth area 
•    Review slow moving inventory with Product Line Portfolio Leaders and constantly re-duce the financial impact 
•    Analyze low margin product for business to make the right business decisions on investment allocations 
•    Implement and improve financial communication tools within the product line organization
•    Advise and support business review processes to facilitate key investment decisions 
•    Forecast & track capital expenditure for the business instituting robust forecasting processes 
•    Deal with ad hoc requests from the product line leaders on product line financial issues 


What your background should look like:

•    Minimum education requirement: Bachelor’s degree in economics, finance, business administration, controlling or comparable 
•    At least 3 years of professional experience within a commercial finance or pricing area 
•    Financial Planning & Analysis background will be highly appreciated 
•    Experience with margin analysis and cost structure understanding
•    Experience working in multinational environment within complex matrix organizations would be beneficial
•    Good understanding of US GAAP 
•    ERP system knowledge, SAP experience is preferred 
•    Knowledge of Business Intelligence (BI) systems would be a real asset
•    Good command of Microsoft office suite (especially Excel, Access, PowerPoint)
•    Strong leadership and business partner skills
•    High degree of initiative with strong analytical and problem-solving skills 
•    Able to work independently and balance multiple priorities and commitments 
•    Excellent communication and presentation skills
•    A negotiation level in French and English language will be required
