SUPPLY CHAIN ANALYST II

Overview

TE Connectivity's Supply Chain Managers are responsible for the timely, cost-effective procurement, inventory control, planning and quality control of production materials. They ensure the availability of materials in the supply chain, as scheduled, and the maintenance of inventory at the established levels. They coordinate and integrate the flow of materials and information among suppliers, manufacturers, distributors and customers, identifying opportunities for improving efficiency, effectiveness and capabilities of the supply chain. Resources are focused on continuous improvement of the movement of materials through production processes, and the establishment of key performance metrics and benchmarks to monitor actual performance against goals. 

Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Supply Chain Support provide critical administrative and clerical support to facilitate the launch and wrap up of the production planning process.  This position is also responsible for providing timely data analysis, reports and graphs that enable improved decision making for the Materials Management and Operations teams.  This role will work closely with production planning, supply chain members and managers as well as external vendors in a time sensitive and deadline driven environment.

Responsibilites

1.    Schedule Wire mill lines to include both Subcom and In House to meet weekly requirements
2.    Review and communicate with Subcom weekly on shipments and production issues
3.    Maintain the Subcom Tracker, Board and Spreadsheets
4.    Track Rod usage and place purchasing requisition for future requirements
5.    Close work orders in Axiom; Ensure all supporting documents and job packet are accurate and in order.
6.    Troubleshoot and investigate any missing or inaccurate data.
7.    Identify and manage process improvement and cost reduction projects throughout the plant.
8.    Participate at daily meetings and coordinate problem resolution
9.    Conduct routine maintenance in the Axiom MRP system to include revised delivery dates, price changes, etc.  
10.    Provide back up support to the Supply Chain team as needed – Master Planner, Shipping / Receiving
11.    Train others as required

What your background should look like:

High School diploma or equivalent required, College Degree preferred
1.    At least 2 years prior work experience in support of manufacturing and/or distribution center processes in materials and/or production scheduling.
2.    Prior work experience with Axiom, ESB, Taylor Production Scheduling Software or similar program strongly preferred.
3.    Relentless follow-through and extreme attention to detail
4.    Excellent skills in Microsoft Office Suite, in particular Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook Email
5.    Strong written and verbal communication skills; Ability to communicate with all levels and departments of the facility
6.    Approachability, customer focus, strong sense of urgency, effective priority setting capabilities
