Job Overview



TE Connectivity's Administrative Support Teams are responsible for office administration and daily clerical duties including basic schedule planning, travel arrangements, documentation, and file maintenance. Other responsibilities include scheduling conferences/meeting rooms and responding to general inquiries. They create and maintain office documentation and files and review drafts and finished internal/external communication documents.




An opportunity has arisen for a permanent “Administrative Support II” position within the TE Connectivity , MOG business unit as part of the Rochester Cable team based in Culpeper, Virginia.

The purpose of the role is to interact with various areas of the business handling a variety of tasks/ functions to support multiple business areas across the facility.


Key Tasks

  • The duties in this role are various and include , but not limited to the following:
  • Be the primary interface on a day to day basis with multiple vendors including ( but not limited ) organizations such as uniform suppliers , break room & stationary vendors
  • The primary contact for EH&S vendors and employees regarding safety footwear & prescription eyewear
  • Prime point of contact for Kronos payroll system issues 
  • The gatekeeper of IT functions such as approving and managing access to public drives
  • Running the inbound and outbound mail room , including courier documentation for time sensitive company documents
  • Answer and direct inbound telephone calls through the sites general phone number
  • Maintain a number of shared calendars including bookings of meeting rooms
  • 5S-co-ordiantor for the administrative building

What qualifications and experience are required

  • Good  Interpersonal skills
  • An excellent telephone manner
  • Be flexible and able to work to tight deadlines
  • Ability to communicate with employees & vendors on multiple levels of the organization , both verbally & in writing 
  • 2-3 years of experience in a comparable environment would be preferable
  • Have an organized / methodical way of working accurately with an eye for detail.
  • Experience with Excel , Power point & Word would be preferable
