Job Overview
TE Connectivity is hiring under the Business Unit Connected Living Solutions a Staff Project Manager Engineer to be part of our team in Collegno, Torino. This is a hybrid role in Torino, Collegno. We are looking for a dynamic individual to lead and manage projects, ensuring successful delivery and alignment with our strategic goals.
Your main tasks:
- Plan, execute, and deliver multiple high-complexity projects or portfolios, including NPD, sustaining, and advanced projects.
- Work with stakeholders (e.g., Product Manager, FAE/Sales, Engineering Manager) to define project goals.
- Plan and manage project core team activities to achieve project goals, organising, leading, and motivating the global project team.
- Ensure project documentation is well-controlled following the LEANPD process.
- Drive continuous improvement and optimisation for the LEANPD process and complete other PMO initiatives.
- Ensure project schedules are planned and updated in time, leading the team to meet Time to Market targets.
- Plan and update project budgets, achieve competitive costs, and evaluate project financial performance.
- Define project scope clearly, prevent scope creep, and evaluate impacts of project changes to meet PRD.
- Ensure projects are staffed for success, negotiating with functional managers and stakeholders to alleviate resource constraints.
- Identify project risks, create and follow up on mitigation actions proactively, manage ongoing issues, and escalate when needed.
- Ensure the team operates according to the LEANPD process, keeping focused on responsibilities and reporting project status to PAC.
Your ideal background:
- Minimum of 10 years of professional experience, with at least 5 years in project management or equivalent leadership roles managing global projects.
- Strong project management skills, including planning, organising, and executing projects effectively and efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills to convey project objectives, expectations, and deadlines clearly, and address concerns or issues actively.
- Knowledge of connector and cable assembly product design/manufacturing processes or automation/RAST termination machines preferred.
- Ability to anticipate problems and resolve them before they become significant issues.
- Understanding of matrix organisations and how to navigate them.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Project Pro or equivalent project management tools.
- Fluency in oral and written English; knowledge of Italian is a plus.
- Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree or MBA preferred. PMP certification is preferred.
