Job Title: Account Manager -  Turin, Italy 


Job Overview

The Account Manager (AM) is a Technical Salesperson and owner of a set of customers or accounts within a defined territory and/or a specific industry. The AM is responsible for developing the account/s with the relevant customer in order for TE to become a strategic partner and to increase revenue, account penetration and customer satisfaction. AM is the customer-facing technical engineering and application consultant within defined territory and/or a specific industry. AM is responsible for growing business via the project pipeline and converting these opportunities to ultimately gain greater market share for TE. 


The AM is expected to provide full customer support in all technical-related topics in connection with TE products and lead and facilitate application-level discussions at their assigned customers.   The AM is responsible for identifying the needs of the customer and, together with the customer, finding appropriate solutions (using either known or new technologies) for customer applications and promoting TE’s technical and technology portfolio to gain specification position and ultimately greater market share. AM is also responsible for managing commercial aspects with the customers or accounts, including managing offers, project contracts and quotations, leading price and contract negotiations and following up on current opportunities or projects. The AM is also responsible for identifying and attracting new opportunities and/or projects in order to increase the customer share for TE and driving the project pipeline.
Job Responsibilities
•    Develop and execute customer strategic account growth plan/s in line with the TE business strategy and product roadmap to ensure revenue growth, account penetration and customer satisfaction of the assigned accounts. 
•    Understand the customer’s strategy and technology roadmap, the market, competition, and trends to identify current and future customer needs. Together with the customer, find appropriate solutions (using either known or new technologies) for customer applications whilst promoting TE’s technical and technology portfolio.
•    Identify sales and business opportunities with customers within the AM’s region (geographic or industry) to grow the engineering project pipeline in line with the product and technology roadmap.
•    Lead new and existing sales/engineering projects from “demand creation” to “production” phases.
•    Generate, prepare and present TE proposals (e.g. product selection, design solutions, product specifications, project objectives) to customers in conjunction with the relevant Product Manager/s and in line with LEANPD.
•    Proactively interface and communicate with the customer to build and maintain strong relationships. 
•    Manage commercial aspects with the customer including managing and preparing offers, project contracts and quotations, leading price and contract negotiations, following up on current and potential opportunities and projects and selling the TE value proposition. 
•    Identify and understand current and future customer needs and opportunities to introduce and sell products, services and solutions to the customer. 
•    Proactively address open customer issues, including quality issues, until appropriate closure. 
•    Coordinate with internal groups to ensure that quotations, quality complaints, VOC, technical information is provided to the customer within agreed timeframes. 
•    Prepare budgets and forecast vs actual performance reporting on won projects.


Key Requirements
•    University engineering degree (Mechanical engineering, Electrical engineering, Electronics engineering preferred).
•    Previous experience in sales (preferred) or engineering (preferred).
•    Broad and deep knowledge of TE technologies and product portfolio and the relevant customers’ application/s.
•    Strategic thinking with the ability to execute on priorities.
•    Ability to identify and pursue new business opportunities in line with business plans.
•    Ability to work with deadlines and challenging targets.
•    High level of written and verbal English communication skills.
•    Flexibility in working days and traveling and valid driver’s license.
