FIELD APPLICATION ENGINEER

Job Overview

TE Connectivity’s Field Application Engineering Teams work intimately with customers to recommend products and solutions for new and existing applications. They identify new applications, requirement modifications and enhancements to meet customer specifications and conduct on-site installation and service of product and are responsible for all technical aspects of the sales cycle for potential application of company products to meet customer needs, including identifying opportunities; determining solutions; creating demand; preparing detailed product specifications and technical marketing support; ensuring high quality and timely project execution and conducting follow-up technical support. They also approve operational quality of systems and equipment.

Responsibilities / Job Scope

•    Participation in on site commissioning for training and education reasons
•    Cooperation and support of the creation of training concepts and documentation material for low and medium voltage drives systems
•    Travel to customer sites to resolve issues including interact directly with customers and/or   Customer Service personnel
•    Application and troubleshooting of MV 
•    Hands-on experience Electrical works/installation works
•    Working with the Sales team to implement and maintain effective business

Qualifications

•    Result oriented, Personal Leadership, Proactive communication, Teamwork & Collaboration
•    2-5 years of experience Electronics, Electrical Power installation.
•    Diploma or Degree in electrical with a focus on power Electronics, Electrical Power 
•    Experienced and knowledgeable in medium voltage Transmission / Distribution 
•    Self-sufficient conduction of trainings for low and medium voltage installation.
•    Experience in MV/LV industries is considered as a clear asset, solid electrical background
•    Very good knowledge of MS Office and being computer literate
•    Ability to communicate in English
•    Excellent problem solving, time management, decision making and customer orientation skills
•    Highly proficient in reading, interpreting and writing of technical specifications
•    Direct experience in power electronics, switchgear, and electrical machinery.
•    Ability to read schematics and interpret customer specifications
