Job Overview

 
We are seeking an experienced Accountant - Genaral Accounting to oversee the end-to-end accounts payable process, ensuring accurate and timely invoice processing, reporting, reconciliation, and compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. This role will supervise the AP team, partner with stakeholders across the business, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, strengthen internal controls, and support sustainable business growth.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily Accounts Payable operations and ensure timely processing of vendor invoices.
  • Review and resolve discrepancies between vendor invoices, purchase orders, and goods receipts.
  • Lead and supervise the AP team to ensure accuracy, compliance, and adherence to processing deadlines.
  • Collaborate with internal departments on Source-to-Pay (S2P) transactions and related accounting matters.
  • Monitor and reconcile AP balances, accruals, and related accounts, escalating issues when necessary.
  • Support and participate in system implementation and process improvement projects, including FIS.
  • Review supporting documentation and upload journal entry templates into SAP.
  • Prepare journal entries related to accruals, prepayments, and other AP-related transactions.
  • Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations and investigate outstanding items.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and internal controls.
  • Support internal and external audit activities and provide required documentation.
  • Prepare and issue confirmation letters to banks, creditors, and debtors.
  • Participate in year-end inventory stock counts.
  • Prepare tax reconciliations and ensure compliance with applicable tax regulations.
  • Identify opportunities to improve AP processes, controls, and operational efficiency.

What your background should look like

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in Accounts Payable or General Accounting, with supervisory experience preferred
  • Experience using SAP or other ERP systems
  • Experience using FIS applications is an advantage
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, account reconciliations, and month-end closing activities
  • Good understanding of Thai tax regulations, including PND.3, PND.53, PND.54, and PP.36
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Good command of spoken and written English
  • Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy and accountability
