Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Quality Assurance Teams are responsible for all or part of an organization's Quality Management System, including conformance and continuous improvement initiatives. They work on systemic evaluation of products, services, facilities, manufacturing or business processes, to ensure that standards of quality are being met. Develop and implement quality plans, programs and procedures using quality control statistics, lean manufacturing concepts, and six-sigma tools and analyses. They reviews, analyze and report on quality discrepancies, investigate problems and executes quality audits, and develops disposition and corrective actions for recurring discrepancies. The team works closely with manufacturing, engineering, customers, or suppliers and subcontractors to ensure requirements are met.

 

- Management and development of a team 
- Assessing and deciding on the introduction of new products, new processes and equipment that have an impact on quality 
- Defining quality controls as part of production control plans in accordance with the standards set by (central) quality management to ensure repeatability and reproducibility of results 
- Coordinating and leading internal and external audits, assessments and preparing management reviews 
- Ensuring the management of customer complaints and recording and handling customer satisfaction in accordance with the standards, including escalation to the next level 
- Ensuring the monitoring of quality performance (KPI) and reporting (e.g. regarding scrap, waste, customer complaints, etc.) in cooperation with plant controlling and production 
- Ensuring incoming goods inspection, in-process inspection and final inspection of the local plant's products according to defined standards 
- First escalation level for incoming goods inspection, in-process inspections and final inspection of the plant laboratory in cooperation with the responsible Functional LAB

 

What your background should look like:

- Bachelor's / Master's degree in engineering or economics 
- Atleast 7 years of professional experience in a comparable function 
- Experience in employee management 
- Certification as a quality representative with ongoing post-qualifications 
- Sound experience in quality departments 
- Knowledge of MS Office (especially Word/Excel/Outlook) 
- Fluent in written and spoken English and German 
- Management experience 
- Independent and structured way of working
