Digital Factory Operations Manager

Job Overview

TE Connectivity (TE) has an opportunity for a Digital Factory Operations Manager with strong project management background and team working Principles utilizing an understanding of IIOT devices and sensor technologies driving digital factory solutions across the Industrial Business unit. This role is responsible for directing digital initiatives for the sites and deploying digital capabilities with flawless execution leveraging support of the Centers of Excellence (CoE).  The ideal candidate will also have experience in Lean Manufacturing and six sigma principles within a high volume manufacturing environment.

 

As a digital factory champion, you will interface directly with manufacturing and support processes within the plants, along with the corporate digital engineering systems team. You will oversee the day-to-day activities of the site digital factory projects and ensure they are aligned with the corporate digital strategy and meet financial and schedule expectations.

 

  • Deploying digital project map and co-creation a digital factory by developing and maintaining site digital factory roadmap deployment plans and gap analysis.
  • Conducting digital manufacturing readiness assessments and deployments
  • Managing enhancement request from feasibility studies, preparing business cases to planning and execution.
  • Effectively managing project budgets and timelines in accordance with approved project plans - Work with the Data Architect(s) to ensure alignment with the current and future architectures for the integration of MES solutions with ERP software and plant automation equipment.
  • Working cohesively with the digital engineering systems team and site ensuring data solution can provide data at an actionable level driving improvement.
  • Providing leadership with regular updates on project status and evolving capability deployment roadmaps
  • Documenting completed project summaries for the Ready to Deploy (RTD) best practices website.
  • Acting as subject matter experience with MES and industrial automation.

What your background should look like:

  • 2-4 years of experience in high Volume Manufacturing Engineering or IT
  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant subject
  • Excellent communication, coaching and inter-personal skills at all levels from shop floor to executive management
  • Previous experience with MES, SCADA
  • IIOT solutions development Hydra, SAP and Ignition would be an advantage.
  • Ability to manage several projects simultaneously
  • Ability to work under a fast-paced work environment
  • Eagerness to travel globally
