TE Industrial Relay business is over $400M global business unit within Industrial Business Unit t, a full-fledged P&L with Manufacturing, Sales, Engineering, Product Management, and Industry Marketing. Leveraging cross industry innovation and proven engineering expertise, TE Industrial Relay portfolio ranges from comprehensive solutions for the machinery & factory automation industry, electrical vehicle to the lighting-technology industry.  

Job Overview


TE Connectivity's Product Management Teams manage all aspects of a product, from driving new product development to manufacturing to marketing. They are responsible for overall product strategy, business leadership and capacity plans in order to meet sales and profit targets. That is why they are called as “mini-GMs”.


The Global Product manager is responsible for developing global product strategy, new product introductions, product roadmaps, voice of customers, competitive analysis and defining value proposition for product portfolio. S/he will be responsible for portfolio of PCB mounted Electromechanical Relay.

S/he will be accountable for global portfolio P&L including revenue, profitability, long term growth of portfolio. S/he will bring a growth-oriented mind-set, excellent commercial acumen, and cross functional experience. The successful candidate will be an individual contributor as part of the Product Management team and will report to the Head of Global Product Management team of Industrial Relays/PSF sub-vertical. 



    Manage the P&L (sales and gross or standard margin) for the assigned portfolio.
    Articulate market trends, demand drivers, customer needs, industry trends, competitive landscape, market segmentation exercises to develop market segment-specific strategies 
    Develop product roadmaps that align with business strategy & resource requirements necessary to execute the product roadmap
    Manage the product lifecycle, by actively promoting or exiting products, pricing management, Promotion activities and GTM initiatives together with several stakeholders
    Product Forecast (S&OP) to support Operations/Manufacturing and influence long term capacity planning
    Be a leader in solving conflicts and finding resolution to challenges impacting customer experience
    Enable sales to promote product line via training and the development of collateral materials that help articulate the value proposition.
    Track progress to the business plan and facilitate resolution to gaps.
    Attend customer meetings in support of winning new business. 

What your background should look like


•    Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business Administration or equivalent
•    Advanced degree (MBA) or relevant P&L management experience is preferred
•    8 Years+ previous experience in Product Management in preferably similar area
•    Experience in the field of Electromechanical relay or industrial application such as PLC or factory automation is a preferred




•    Strong commercial and marketing skills, including ability to derive insights from VOC
•    Familiarity and experience leveraging a commercial tool kit, VOC, Market Segmentation, Strategic Pricing, Customer communication etc. 
•    Strong analytical, planning, forecasting and budgeting/financial skills
•    The ability to manage multiple, complex priorities within demanding timeframes
•    Excellent communication, Experience influencing others and negotiation skills.
