Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Manufacturing and Process Development Engineering Teams significantly impact LEANPD driven new product development projects, driving for excellence in existing manufacturing technologies and methods and striving to implement new manufacturing technologies to provide improved process and tolerance control. They act as the binding element between product development and manufacturing engineering, ensuring the effectiveness and efficiency of this critical interface. They support Product Development in the optimization of designs and piece parts for manufacturability by realizing sample tooling/products/prototypes. They also design, develop, and qualify tooling and processes to meet TE quality and production standards, document all processes and tooling in applicable TE systems, support supply chain to verify supplier compliance and capability, initiate and implement programs to continuously improve quality, cost and cycle time and adhere to all appropriate specifications, regulatory requirements and customer requirements.

•    Support engineers with technical documentation tasks.
•    Assist in advanced research, plan and conduct experiments, build samples, coordinate evaluation runs, test materials, and execute validation protocols as assigned by engineers/teams.
•    Assist engineers in the validation of products and/or processes.
•    Assist in development of manufacturing guides, procedures, and instructions.
•    Provide first line support for the identification and resolution of production issues.
•    Equipment troubleshooting and repair.
•    Process Troubleshooting, determining root-cause, and implementing corrective actions
•    Provide project support, including cost savings and process improvement projects.
•    Assist in tool and fixture/Tooling design.
•    Consistent and predictable attendance.
•    Understand and complies with all company rules and regulations.
•    May lead small projects or provide technical guidance to other team members.
•    Training operations personnel on manufacturing process changes or initial implementations
•    Participating in cross-functional teams to solve problems using Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other analytical tools

What your background should look like:


•    Four or more years of experience as a technician in a manufacturing environment.
•    Strong mechanical or electrical background.
•    Minimum 2 year technical degree desired but not required.  
•    ISO 13485 or FDA 21 CFR 820 experience is desired but not essential.
•    Knowledge of PTFE and Thermal plastic Extrusion desired but not Essential
