Manufacturing & Process Technician - Extrusion

Job Overview

TE Connectivity is growing and looking to hire 3 Extrusion Manufacturing Process Technicians for the Medical devices manufacturing facility in Brooklyn Park, MN. This is a great opportunity for candidates with a 2-year degree that may want to continue their career and become an Engineer, and for candidates with extrusion/injection molding production experience that would like to develop as a Technician. 

 

Primary job purpose for Extrusion Technicians is to implement new product manufacturing procedures and test the first batches, and bridge the gap between production and engineering. 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Provide general supports on production miscellaneous
  • Maintain, update, and regularize preventive maintenance on equipment
  • Manufacture components for R&D projects
  • Work on Development criteria in line with Safety and OSHA recommendation
  • Install new production machine
  • Write new protocol for extrusion functions 
  • Work on TAVR development with R&D associates
  • Work on WL GORE Dilator for customers
  • Read customers prints and make recommendation for manufacturability
  • Train new employees the basics of extrusion manufacturing process

 

What your background should look like:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; 2-year degree or a relevant certification preferred.
  • Extrusion or injection molding manufacturing experience preferred
  • Ability to read blueprints and diagrams
  • New product introduction and manufacturing process transfer experience desirable.
  • Demonstrated excellent organizational skills, and ability to work on initiative but combine this with an awareness of appropriate escalation is an advantage.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills essential.
  • Computer literate, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
