Software Engineer / Developer (m/f)

Job Overview

As a Software Engineer for TE Connectivity, you will be part of our sensors team in Norway, working closely together with the commercial trucking industry.

You take part in designing, implementing and testing software algorithms for ultrasound-based sensor systems integrated into challenging environment applications. You follow and support ASpice compliant process implementation, and you work towards understanding technology limitations and finding solutions for customer specific applications.

The role will be based in our office in Bergen (Norway).

Responsibilities & Qualifications
  • Design, implement, and evaluate embedded systems software.
  • Develop algorithms for ultrasound signals detection and recognition
  • Analyze and understand existing products and their implementation to determine suitable methods to improve existing software design or to add new functionality
  • Actively engage with project leaders and with other project team members to support effective project execution.
  • Actively engage with systems engineers to contribute to overall systems design.
  • Participate in discussions with customers as necessary to ensure requirements are understood and to communicate system engineering requirements to the customer.
  • Execute relevant tasks and prepare documentation as required by the ASpice compliant development process.

Requirements:

  • Bsc or MSc Physics / SW / Cybernetics or similar
  • Experience with embedded software development
  • Experience with analog to digital converters and signal processing is a plus
  • Proven work experience in software development life cycle from requirements to production and support
  • Experience with ASpice compliant processes is a plus
  • Preferably 5 years
  • Proficiency in C, familiar with MISRA C is a plus
  • Experience with the embedded microprocessor tools
  • Experience with digital signal processing (filtering, correlation, spectrum analysis, signals detection) is highly preferred
  • Understanding of physics and basic principles is preferably
  • Experience with ST or Microchip microcontrollers is a plus.
  • Experience with CAN/SENT/PWM communication protocols implementation is a plus
  • Additional programming languages and GUI development is a plus
  • Knowledge/Experience with Agile software methodologies is a plus
  • Experience with Test Driven Development approach is a plus
